Mother's Day is coming

May 1 2015

Well, it's officially May! Where did spring go? Days are getting longer, and so is my to-do list. I'm not sure if this happens to you, but May is also a time of "may-hem" for many. It's a little bit wild, and has been come to be known as "the-month-that's-busier-than-Christmas" in my world. When and how did that happen exactly? I have no idea but I know I hear the same thing from many of my friends this time of year. Everyone is busy and has a lot that needs to be done. It's easy to put everyone else first but not always a good to do so. Do you find you are in need some me time? Need a break from the to-dos? Know a stressed-out mom? Are you a stressed out Mom? No worries, we've got you covered. We're the perfect place to make a little time to take a break or to celebrate together. Spend some quality time with the mom, sister, daughter, wife in your life (or treat you, the perfect one) this Mother's Day and have some fun with us, I mean we are a little bit of paint, a little bit of wine & a whole lot of fun!... | Read More

PWAP: Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue

March 23 2015

On Sunday March 22nd we held our monthly Painting with a Purpose to benefit local animal rescue group, Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue. In this session, we were fortunate to have 23 painters join us to complete purrfect masterpieces of their beloved animals. It was an amazing day and we are so excited to have raised $500 for this group! We were especially touched by one of organizer, Rebecca Z's, Facebook comment: "On behalf of all of us at Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue, thank you ladies for all of your work, help and support! We had a great time and are incredibly appreciative of your kindness and generosity!" Being able to give back to our community is one of favorite things about our fabulous job! ... | Read More

DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO MISS NEW ORLEANS...

July 24 2014

Do you? or any other city, for that matter? Next week, I (Tara) get to head back to my hometown for a few days to attend our annual Painting with a Twist franchise conference. I love getting to head back for a few days, catch up with my old lady friend Nola, see some of my best friends and family. The food is amaze-balls, of course and music and merriment abounds. It is great feel the jazz in the streets (not so much the urine-smell), to meet up with other studio owners and our corporate team to re-energize to the PWAT KoolAid. All that being said, it also makes me appreciate why we chose to move to Charlotte to begin with. I may be a Nola-girl, but I am slowly becoming a sweet Carolina girl too. What is it that you miss about home AND what is it that you love about our Queen City? Send me an email to let me know: charlotte@paintingwithatwist.com.... | Read More
