Painting With a Twist Helps Right and Left Brain Adults Have Fun

July 06, 2011 Sometimes grownups need to tap into their right brains for some spontaneity, free associations and a vacation from their left-brains. This is where Painting with a Twist comes in--along with a glass of wine and appetizers.

October 18, 2010 I'm in a bookclub. I've been in this bookclub for some time now...through this club I have discovered that I do in fact enjoy reading (which I never doubted) but I don't necessarily enjoy reading under a timeline, a D day (what does that stand for anyways?) or pretty much any kind of "schedule". Perhaps, it's because my daily life is so "scheduled" that I really enjoy reading whenever I want and for however long I want. I would find myself counting the remaining pages and dividing by the number of days until D day - not sure if I needed to make it a game or just stress myself out more. Anyways...I love the girls in my book club and we take turns hosting and the host chooses the book. My last hosting gig I said "eehhh, let's forget the book and put the $$ towards dinner". This time I said "eehhh, let's forget the book and paint". I'm noticing a theme here...

Dallas, TX - Blog - Matt and Becky Stokes

September 23, 2010 So last night we went to Painting with a Twist to celebrate Kelly's birthday. She'd told me about this place and I immediately wanted to do it! When she decided to celebrate her birthday there I was excited to sign up. So the idea of this place is that they have a picture that everyone will paint for that night. The instructor guided us and showed us which steps to take.....here's the twist: throughout the evening while we're painting she rings a bell that signals us to take a drink of wine. It was lots of fun and now I have my very own piece of art ! Hehe!
