Jenny was born in Washington DC. She came to Atlanta to earn her BA in Political Science from Georgia State University, with intentions of attending law school. Instead, she was inspired to relocate to the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, where she traded in legal pursuits for artistic endeavors as a painter. For two years, she was a studio artist in the River Arts District, an urban scene of old factories and historical buildings along the French Broad River. Jenny’s love of contemporary art drew her back into academia to pursue her graduate degree. She recently graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta with a Master of Fine Art in Painting. As a tactile-oriented artist, surfaces and textures have always fascinated her. In her work, she creates surface rubbings and visual textures as a means to investigate the language of touch.
