Nice Blog about Classes at the Grapevine PWAT Studio!

The step by step assistance at this divine little art studio is perfect for the wishful artist, like me. However, if you were born with a paintbrush in your hand, there is a seat for you too. You have the freedom to add your own twists, shading, colors, and dynamics to your paintings.
In my opinion, one of the best things about Painting With a Twist is the freedom to bring your own wine and snacks.

"No paintbrushes in wine cups! No drinking the paint water!" My co-workers and I laugh as our art instructor, Lynnette Anderson, reads one of the rules for the evening. Her attempt at putting us at ease is working.
Painting with a Twist – Grapevine, Texas
March 09, 2012
In January my good friends invited me to join them at a painting class at Painting With a Twist in Grapevine, TX. I’ll be honest, I didn’t expect it to turn out very well. I’m always up for trying new things and I had seen their first painting they did at Painting With a Twist and was extremely impressed so thought, why not? The cool thing about attending a painting class at Painting With a Twist is the fact you are allowed to come as a group, bring your own drinks and snacks. We took fruit, cheese and crackers, wine and bottled water. I knew I was sure to have a good time even if my painting turned out awful.

Grapevine, TX - Painting the TCU Helmet!
February 15, 2011
Just wanted to share a fun thing to do this weekend. Painting With A Twist in Grapevine is doing a TCU football painting and adding details to celebrate the Rose Bowl Championship. I've gone to quite a few of the classes and it's a blast. You do not have to be a artist! It's BYOB too if you want.

My friend Shelby and I wanted to do Painting with a Twist (www.paintingwithatwist.com)together, but before she could register for the class (or rather the painting) that we wanted, it was full.
So I decided to host a private party. I selected a date and a painting and forwarded the information to my friends.I told them to invite their friends, too and twenty ladies showed up.
The cost was $35 and the instructor walked us step-by step through a painting. She worked fast, but that was probably best because it gave me less time to think about what I was doing.

As an artist I’m constantly looking for ways to feed my creative side. So when I heard about Painting with a Twist, I knew I just had to do it. Basically, you pay to go to a 2-3 hour night of fun where an instructor teaches a group of about 25 people how to all paint the same painting. The website assured me that even beginners (which I most certainly was) would be able to have a finished painting by the end of the class. I’d been wanting to do this for awhile and my birthday provided the perfect opportunity for me to indulge myself. I decided to sign up, and was so glad when my friend Mentanna signed up to go with me!
