Fun Activities to do in Katy:Painting with a Twist

We are located at 2020 S. Fry Blvd. at the corner of S. Fry Blvd. and Highland Knolls... in the strip mall behind Walgreens.

We are a 'sip and paint' boutique and the Twist is BYO (wine, beer or beverage of choice)!  Bring your snacks and we'll provide the rest.  We have the answer to your entertainment needs.  Join us for an innovative experience of camaraderie and creativity in which you leave with your own 16”x20” acrylic masterpiece.  Grab a friend or come alone and have a extraordinary experience that will leave you wanting more. Everything else you need to unleash the visionary within is provided for you at Painting With a Twist – paints, brushes, canvases, and aprons to protect your clothing.  We even provide the cups, plates, wine corks and openers…and ice for chilling.  Haven’t painted since kindergarten?  Not to worry, an experienced and entertaining local artist will lead you step by step through the process of recreating the featured picture.  Brush stroke after brush stroke will bring you closer to completing your own brilliant creation.  Experience the Twist!

Online reservations are strongly recommended, due to space limitations.  While we will attempt to accommodate walk-in guests (based on seat availabilty and time management), it is strongly recomended to reserve online.

NOTE: Due to the BYO nature of our "twist", children are not allowed to our evening adult art classes.   We offer monthly Katy Kids Camps (drop offs allowed), Holiday Camps (drop offs allowed), and Family Art Classes (ages 6-106 allowed).  Thank you for your understanding!

We offer the convenient purchase of gift certificates online - printable from your own printer at home!  Additionally, you now have the option of using your Katy gift certificate at either of our sistah locations in Cypress or Sugar Land!  Ask us how. 

S.O.S: 

If you didn't finish your painting, or simply want to touch it up, add something...this is for you! The first Saturday of every month, from 10am-12pm, a PWAT artist will be available to assist you with completing your masterpiece.  This event is FREE, but please reserve your seat online so we know you are coming.

OPEN STUDIO: 

Do you need your favorite painting now?  Maybe you just can’t schedule a featured painting into your busy schedule…either way, Open Studio is for you!  The first Saturday of every month, from 10-12pm, you can recreate your special artwork at your own pace while a PWAT artist is available to assist you as needed.  Select either a 2- or 3hr painting during Open Studio! 

FAMILY DAY: 

These events are open to everyone in the family.  It is designed for all ages, but greater than 6 years of age is strongly recommended.   Parents must escort attending children of all ages and stay on the premises during the event for ages 5-12.

KATY KIDS CLASSES:

We feature art with a kid-friendly theme each month, as well as during school breaks and summer vacation.  Recommended age is 6 and up.  All children must be checked in and out by an adult.  

KATY KIDS MINI-CAMPS:

More intense than the Katy Kids Class, we feature our traditional paintings and our young artists go home with all their completed art from the day.  Sign up can be for one specific day, but discounts are offered for attendance the entire week.  Several Mini-Camps are offered with different paintings each day so no one repeats art from a previous day.  Recommended age is 6 and up.  All children must be checked in and out by an adult.  Register online, space is limited.   

PAINTING WITH A PURPOSE: 

The Painting With a Twist family is dedicated to giving back to the local communities by hosting fund-raising events benefitting local non-profit charity organizations.   From local chapters of national organizations to home-grown Katy charities, let us provide a fun, unique and creative venue for your important charity fundraising event.  50% of the net proceeds will be donated.  Call for more details.

PRIVATE PARTIES:

We can help make your special occasion something that guests will continue to talk about!  Minimum number of guests ANY DAY/ANY TIME is only 10!  Never a charge for the use of our private party room!  Birthday and Anniversary parties, Children’s birthday parties, Bunco, Bachelorette parties, Girl’s Night Out, Boys and Girl Scout Parties, Civic groups, Homeschoolers, Red Hat Society, Corporate events…Check out the PARTY INFO button for more details on reserving your own private party!  Click here for private pARTy details.

CORPORATE EVENTS & TEAM BUILDING: 

Plan your next corporate or holiday event with us - no awkward standing around juggling food, you bring the refreshments and we supply the activity!  We also do team building classes, and we can recreate your logo.  Please allow two week’s notice for custom art work.  Our Katy studio can accomodate up to 70+ guests!

OFFSITE EVENTS: 

We bring the party to you!  With a group of 20 or more, we bring everything needed for a great event.  At your office, club, hotel or any commercial establishment!  Sorry, we do not offer paint pARTies at private residences.  Please call for more details.

CANCELLATIONS: 

**24-hour cancellation notice on regular classes or private party single reservation (7-day written cancellation on host-confirmed private parties).
