Painting with a Twist was happy to donate $1642.50 to the organization in January. Over 70 painters participated in creating the "Black and Gold Mask” for this cause."

Feb. 2 at 6 p.m. Jefferson Street Pub is opening its doors to a Painting With a Twist class. Twist is a recreational art studio where students can paint their own painting based on the template used that day — think of those paint-by-numbers things from childhood but way more awesome.

April 21, 2011 Painting with a Twist 2010 Top Producer Award goes to Lafayette's Painting with a Twist owner, Tammy Milam. Tammy is a Top Producer in more ways than one, as one of her top priorities is her commitment to give back to the community. It is her popularity with the community which has made Painting with a Twist the all-around best evening out AND best value, and her gratitude is reflected in her generosity. She and her great team of artists hold monthly Painting with a Purpose events for local nonprofits. In 2010 Tammy hosted benefits for such worthy causes as Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the PHI Food Drive, the Change Agent Network, Haiti Missions, the Jacobs Foundation, the American Cancer Society, the Wild Cat Foundation, and others. In March, Tammy hosted a benefit for Trees Acadiana, donating 80% to the organization, which is dedicated to planting and conserving trees, urban and community forests. The primary goal of the organization is to maintain the community’s living environment.

April 17, 2011 Painting With a Twist was a unique and inspirational place to film. The studio is filled with lively artwork that appears intriguing and complex. We'll admit...the idea of painting there for the first time can be intimidating. However, the friendly staff of artists made us feel right at home and quickly dispelled any fears about a lack of artistic ability. We popped open a bottle of wine, listened to the helpful tips of the artist instructor, and before we knew it, created masterpieces of our own. With its' creative concept, laid-back atmosphere, and friendly staff - not to mention the studio 'mascot' Gizmo running around (an adorable dog!) - Painting With a Twist is the perfect place to kick back with your friends, have a few laughs, and make a lasting memory. .
