Painting With A Purpose to Prevent Child Abuse
Child Abuse is devastating to our Community. In 2012 in Indiana, there were 177,382 Child Abuse/Neglect Reports. Preventing Child Abuse works when a community works together to:
#1 Raise awareness and #2 Build strong community based services and education for parents and children.
FAMILIES CONNECTED and the EXCHANGE CLUB OF SPEEDWAY are both dedicated to the Prevention of Child Abuse. The organizations are partnering together to host a Painting with a Purpose class on Sunday, August 24. During the event, an instructor will walk the class through painting a beautiful masterpiece. Simply sign up to join us for an evening at Painting with a Twist starting at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are just $50 and include delicious refreshments.
This event will help these organizations raise money to raise awareness and support a MENTORING PROGRAM where mentors will work with both parents and youth to help enhance parenting skills, academic success, behavioral health, build stronger parent and child relationships and Prevent Child Abuse.
Families Connected offers services to children, parents and families to help them enhance their lives, relationships and keep families strong, together and connected. The Exchange Club of Speedway is a local community service organization and member of the National Exchange Club. It sponsors and promotes service to the community, youth programs, Americanism programs and it’s national project is child abuse prevention.
Help make a difference by joining us for Painting with a Purpose!
