Why book a Private Party?

  1. You can choose the painting taught from over 5,000+ paintings (some are 2 hour,and some are 3 hour classes).
  2. You'll have the place to yourself with your own private instructor providing you step by step instruction.
  3. Your party can be as over the top or as understated that you'd like.  Hire in a caterer, a decorator...the possibilities are endless. 
  4. The room is yours 30 minutes before and up to 15 minutes after the class time to decorate, mingle, take pictures and celebrate – FREE OF CHARGE.   
  5. It’s the same price as a regular class!

When can I have a party?

7 days of the week & you name the time (10am-10pm), subject to artist availability.

How do I book my party?

Just call us at 586-247-PWAT (586-247-7928), talk to us during class or email your request to studio094@paintingwithatwist.com 

To have a private party, we require a minimum of 10 guests.

At the time of booking:

  • A deposit of two seats is required and will be applied to reservations.  $70 for a 2-hour class and $90 for a 3-hour class.
  • The hostess may choose the painting.
  • A private pass code and sign up link will be provided for individual registrations.

Two weeks prior to event:

  • Deposit may be refunded due to party cancellation or party may be changed to an open registration.
  • Individual reservation payments may be refunded.

Less than 2 weeks prior to event:

  • Private party plans made less than 2 weeks prior to the event require minimum paid reservations at the time of booking.  No deposit due.
  • You will be charged for the minimum number of people if the attendance does not meet the required number.
  • We have a 14 day cancellation policy.  Cancellation within 14 days will have a charge of $150 plus the loss of deposit.
  • In the event a Private Party is cancelled, store credits only will be issued to those who have already made a reservation.

Cute ideas for your party...

  • You may bring in your choice of food and drink. Birthday cakes, caterers, tailgate snacks, wine.  Have the refreshments suit your event.  We have plastic glasses, ice buckets for your use, and wine openers.   We do have a freezer on site.
  • Use the image of the painting throughout the event planning process.  Although all art is subject to copyright protection, we do allow the use of the image for invitations, decorations, and cakes.  Please ask about the reproduction of the image in any other instance related to your private event. Bakeries have come up with adorable representations of the painting taught at a private party on cakes and cupcakes. 

What’s an open party?

Don’t have the minimum number of people to have a private party?  No problem!  You have an option:

  1. Sign up your small group in a regular scheduled class.  Let us know and we will set up a VIP section for your group.  No contracts, no hassles.

How soon should I schedule my party?

  • The sooner, the better!  Once you’ve chosen your date and secured it with the signed contract and deposit, it will be put on the calendar.

How do I pay for my party?

  • The prices are the same as an Open Class; $35/person for a 2 hour party or $45/person for a 3 hour party.  The party host/spokesperson will reserve the desired day and time with a deposit on a credit card (see above).  There is a 14 day cancellation.  Notice: Deposit will be forfeited and an additional $150 (total up to $260) will be charged on the credit card if less than a 14 day notice of cancellation is given.  Deposit will also be used if the minimum of 10 people isn’t met at the time of the party.  If the minimum is met, the deposit will be applied towards the total cost of the party.  Party participants may pay the party host/spokesperson, who then pays the balance due at the time of the party, or the individuals may pay prior to the party via a special code designated for your party.

How do I know which painting I can choose for my Party?

  • Once your Private Party is booked, an invitation to our on-line gallery is generated and a link will be e-mailed to you to view our painting selections

For the Kiddies!

  • Kids 2 hour parties are discounted at $25/person.  Art must be selected from the PWAT Kid’s 1.5hr category.  Minimum age is 7 to paint.
