October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and New Orleans has several opportunities for residents to have some fun while raising funds for research into treatments and cures, as well as support services for breast cancer patients and their families.

Painting with a Twist Slidell hosted a Painting with a Purpose to benefit Slidell Memorial Hospital Parenting Center Aug. 24. A check for $490 was donated that evening.

Painting With a Twist hosted “Painting with a Purpose,” benefitting the SMH Regional Cancer Center.
