Painting with a Twist FAQ
What is Painting with a Twist?
Painting with a Twist is a fun art studio for anyone interested in painting! In our classes, we use acrylic paints on several different types of canvas and teach the class step by step through the specific painting of the day. Most of our guests have no painting experience and all of them have great success!
Where are you located?
On Olive Blvd, just west of highway 270 in the West Park Plaza right next to Studio Branca and Pastries of Denmark.
Do I need to have painting experience?
Definitely not! Our classes are designed for people who have never painted in their life. In 2 or 3 hours, you will have had a fun experience and get to take home your own art masterpiece! We also have great music, play games and on occasion even get the hula hoops out!
How much does a painting class cost?
For public parties, 2-hour painting classes are $37-47; 3-hour classes are $47-57. Paint your Pet classes are $57 per person.
For private parties, it depends on the length and type of canvas you choose! There are several perks to scheduling a private party. See Party Info tab.
Are you offering virtual parties during the COVID-19 pandemic?
We sure are! Virtual private parties only. Visit this link to request a virtual party.
How are you keeping your employees and guests safe during the COVID-19 pandemic?
Great question! We have two separate rooms for separate classes. Facemasks are MANDATORY for all staff members and guests attending. We are social distancing. We are also allowing 2 hours in between classes for our employees to take extra precaution in cleaning and sanitizing. We are also offering TWIST AT HOME KITS! This is your Painting with a Twist Take Out and Take Home option! Visit this link to purchase take home kits.
How do I reserve a painting class?
Browse our Creve Coeur Painting Classes Calendar page and select a painting on a date that works for you, then sign up on that page. We are not able to hold seats. Payment must be made at time of reservation.
Can you accommodate groups or parties?
Yes! If your group has at least 8 people, you may book a private painting party. Please read our Party Info page for all the details.
If your group has less than 8 people, you may bring your group into one of our regular public classes. Simply write in your reservation comments who you'd like to sit with.
Can I stop in anytime and paint?
We hold classes at specific times and those are the only times guests can come in and paint. To join a class, please view our calendar, select a painting you like and register online or give us a call. Pre-registration is required for all classes.
Are we allowed to bring in beverages and food?
For public classes and private parties, you are welcome to bring in light snacks and drinks. Our studio is BYOB, and we also have a beer and wine bar that sells water and soda. Remember you are painting most of the time so finger foods are best!
Do I need to bring anything with me to paint?
Not unless you want to! Your reservation fee includes everything you need to create a beautiful and unique painting! When you arrive, you are supplied with an apron, canvas, brushes, paints and step by step art instruction throughout the class! When class is done, your artwork is ready to hang!
Can my child come with me to paint?
We have specific classes on our calendar for young artists! Please click on the event you are interested in to see details about the age requirements.
When do you post a new monthly schedule?
The calendar for the next month is posted on or around the 1st of every month.
What time should I arrive for class?
We recommend 10-15 minutes early, although you are welcome to arrive up to 30 minutes if you require a bit more time to unwind!
Do you do reserved seating?
Yes- use the "special requests/notes" section to make note of who you are sitting with. Groups of 7 people get their own table to paint at! Public parties get a seating chart, and private parties are first come, first serve on seating.
Do I need a reservation?
We do require reservations with payment to secure seats.
Can we bring anything other than wine?
Beer, wine, and liquor are all allowed. We also have a wine & beer cooler at the studio! (We have wine openers, cups, napkins, plates, etc.).
My friends are signing up separately, how can I be sure we will be seated together for class?
Just add their names in the "special requests" section of the payment process and we will have you seated together.
Can I come to class with my friends but just watch and not paint?
No thank you! All seating is by paid reservations only, no "non-painting" guests please. (*Except for "all ages" classes in which you will accompany your child.)
Do we get to take our painting home that day?
Yes! We finish the painting within the time designated and your masterpiece is ready to hang by the time you get home!
Do you sell gift certificates?
Purchases are available in-studio or online. Gift certificates are available in any amount and non-refundable. Tie one or two to a bottle of wine and you have the best gift ever!!
Do you also offer morning or afternoon classes?
Yep! We can do private parties any time (we do have a general class schedule, but depending on date and time of requested party, we can be flexible), and usually have kids classes every saturday morning. We can also schedule private parties for times of your choosing.
What do I wear?
Whatever is comfortable and you don’t mind if a little paint gets on it. We will have aprons for you when you arrive.
