Our Artists

Angel

Angel

As a native Texan, I began my Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Texas at Austin and then transferred my senior year to the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where I created art installations related to immigration and received my degree.  A few years later, I received my Masters in Creative Art Therapy from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, where I wrote and published my thesis, which examined the artwork of an individual with PTSD.  Art is my way of life.  My approach to making art is being open to all mediums.  I do not limit myself to one particular medium.  I have shown artwork both nationally and globally and have been teaching art for many years, to all age levels, and leading art therapy groups with various mental health populations.  My approach to teaching is holistic and academic, as I have the sensitivity of a therapist and the discipline to emphasize the importance of the practice of art.  I look forward to sharing this vision with each individual I reach in a classroom setting.
Erik

Erik

Erik is an artist from the great Frozen North. He has been interested in the arts from a young age, which is a fancy way of saying he used to color on the walls. He currently resides in The Colony with his wife Traclyn, and their sweet baby, Makai.
Jennifer

Jennifer

jennifer likes to draw, paint, take photographs, get her hands dirty in clay, loves the outdoors (camping, hiking, and the like... hearts Colorado), loves her lil kittie, Roscoe, and is closely related to, if not the long lost twin of TMNT, Raph ("the red one").  she really enjoys connecting to God thru music, and loves to rock out to all kinds of tunes, including Led Zeppelin, Stevie Nicks, Garth Brooks, Chris Tomlin, Tool, and anything her nieces and nephews like to listen to when she gets to spend time with any of the nine of them. <3 she loves being part of a big family, and digs Grace, her cherokee, that she finally got to break in on some mountain roads (and off roads! ??)

Lenny Buscemi

I have been with Painting with a Twist since Jan. 2011. I graduated from Kutztown University of PA in1985 with a BS degree in Art Education and a minor in fine arts. I have taught art in the public school off and on for the past 27 years. I am currently teaching art at Independence High School. I spent five years as a graphic designer and enjoy painting and sculpting portraits. I was a professional puppeteer for three years. I also have created leather “Commedia del arte” theater masks for the past 30 years. Robin Williams owed three of my masks and Richard Thomas (John boy Walton) purchased eight. I have designed sets, masks, costumes and puppets for theater troupes all across the country.
