With over 20 years of teaching, he is excited to take his art skills and love for teaching and blend them together while having a blast with friends and family. Melissa is a self taught artist from upstate NY, a true "jack of all trades". From character design to 3D rendering, digital to traditional mediums, painting canvas to creating tiny masterpieces on fingernails- she likes to tackle new challenges and all types of canvases to create something unique. She's had several comic books published through a few indie companies. She enjoys spending time with her family, sharing her love of art and comic books, with her 3 year old son. Deirdre has been an artist at heart for as long as she can remember.She has an Associates Degree in Visual Arts from Suffolk Community College, where she studied sculpture, drawing, and painting. She has stayed immersed in the community art scene during and after college working in galleries as well as showing work at art shows. In her spare time she enjoys playing Dungeons & Dragons and she also has a lipstick collection that would make any makeup fanatic green with envy!
Sam is a native Long Islander, born and raised right here in Selden. Crafting from a young age made creativity her passion. She spent four years at The Corcoran In Washington, DC, getting a BFA in Photojournalism and it was through the work she made there that she discovered her true love of nature and the outdoors. Over the last several years Sam has focused on a making a move into the world of conservation to help protect the natural world she loves so much by living an environmentally friendly lifestyle. This has also driven her to create art that preserves the beauty of the natural places she has been and dreams of going. Now Sam is back on Long Island and looking for some new people to make art with!
Kristen is a lifelong artist with a passion for teaching. Kristen holds an AAS in Fine Arts and is currently working on her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts at Stony Brook University. While Kristen has studied multiple forms of art, she has always particularly enjoyed comics. Kristen has shared her love for comics by volunteering at Stony Brook’s annual Cherry Blossom Festival where she teaches attendees how to draw in the style of Japanese comics. When she isn’t making art, she can be found playing video games or nerding out with her friends!
