Samantha

Samantha

My name is Samantha, I'm the owner/operator/resident crazy person of the PWAT Wilmington studio! I started my PWAT life with the amazing babes of the Painting with a Twist - Charlotte, NC studio and quickly realized I wanted this for the longterm. So I packed up my life and my right-paw pup Finnegan and headed to Wilmington to spread paint and sip cheer!! In my non-PWAT time, I am a freelance children's book illustrator. I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration in 2010 and although I miss Savannah terribly, my heart lies in North Carolina <3 I'm beyond happy to get to know the lovely city of Wilmington and the wonderful people who live here!
Jean

Jean

Hi, I’m Jean. I was born and raised in Georgia and moved to the Port City in 2010. I attended Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia and studied Communication Arts with a Minor in Marketing. I moved back to Atlanta and worked at a radio station for a few years before moving to Wilmington. I have always wanted to live at the beach and my dream finally came true! During the day I work at a local television station making the magic happen. I never studied art traditionally, but come from a very artistic family that encouraged creativity. I thoroughly enjoy Painting with a Twist and the creativity that comes along with it.
Delia

Delia

My name is Delia and I'm an artist, writer and musician on a mission to promote independent arts and build creative community. I learned how to paint from my grandmother at a young age and never put the brushes down! I've been an artist and educational trainer for over a decade with a passion for learning new things and having fun. You can catch me vending, painting and playing music all over Wilmington!
Lindsay

Lindsay

Hello, my name is Lindsay. I am PWAT's very own marine biologist gone painter. I graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2013 with a bachelor's in marine biology. From there, I took a job as a fisheries observer working on commercial fishing boats. My adventures took me all over the east coast, Nova Scotia, and Alaska. After 3 years of craziness, I had to return to the city that held my heart, Wilmington. I am pursuing further education at Cape Fear Community College in marine technology. Despite my very scientific background, I have always had a passion for the arts. My specialty is fish printing (or fish squishing as Sam likes to call it) which combines my love of fish and painting. Everyone has a creative side whether it's music, drawing, or fish squishing. All you have to do is explore it. I am so happy to be a member of the PWAT team and I'm looking forward to helping bring out the creativity in everyone. Cheers!
Sara

Sara

Hi, my name is Sara and I'm an artist and public school educator. I received my BFA in Studio Art and Art History from the University of North Carolina and my MAT in Art Education from UNC-Pembroke. As a classroom art teacher for ten years, I love fostering the creative impulse lurking within people. When I'm not painting or hanging out with my cats, you'll most likely find me geeking out over comic books, video games, or sci-fi and fantasy.
Cristi

Cristi

Originally from Maryland, I graduated from Towson University in 1997 with a degree in Clinical Psychology. I moved to Wilmington 2 days after graduation to be closer to my family and wound up working as a Paralegal for 16+ years. Three years ago, my husband decided to further his education so we moved to Durham so he could complete the Physician Assistant program at Duke and I took that time off to be a full time mom and support to him while he was in school. We are now back in Wilmington and I have decided it was time to reinvent myself by adding more art to my life. Although I am not formally trained in the arts, I come from a long line of artistic family members and love to paint in my free time.
