Adrian grew up in Madison Wisconsin and attended UW (Go Badgers!). After earning her degree she relocated to Michigan where she was Admissions Director at the Art Institute and a frequent visitor of Painting with a Twist in Ferndale MI. She loves everything creative, art, fashion, music and poetry and believes art is an escape to somewhere beautiful. Adrian resides in Dunwoody with her husband and their daughter and son.
Barrie was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. She then attended Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia where she studied Production Design and Themed Entertainment. After graduation she moved to Atlanta, Georgia to purse a creative career. In her spare time, you can find Barrie hiking, drawing, or at a concert. She loves live music and has been working with music festivals for the last several years helping the production teams design and create art installations.
Carla worked for several companies in New York City while attending the Fashion Institute of Technology, including Jones Group companies Nine West, Easy Spirit, and Bandolino. She has also helped run events at the Society of Illustrators for top illustrators in the country as well as helped out with NY Fashion Week in Fall 2009.
Carla relocated to San Francisco in 2009, and worked as a Production Assistant for the California Academy of Sciences from 2011-2012, helping to produce planetarium shows, the Animal Attractions exhibit, and Science in Action videos. In 2014, Carla worked on at Avery Dennison, putting photographing and editing labels for Levi Strauss for the internal sales team.
Carla has been freelancing, creating graphic novels, storyboards, kids books, illustrating for companies, teaching kids illustration, and been in numerous art shows in San Francisco. Last year she moved to Atlanta to focus on her work with her animation studio, Cranial Island Studios, out of her office at Switchyards Downtown Club.
Holly grew up near Cleveland, Ohio where she attended Malone University for Communication Arts with a focus in Dance and Theater. After college, Holly traveled the world volunteering for humanitarian organizations which eventually led her to Atlanta, Georgia where she has started a family (including two Great Danes). Holly is also a licensed Nutritional Therapist and Make-up artist. When she's not painting, you can find her teaching dance classes in the greater Atlanta area or repurposing old furniture.
Leylis was born and raised in the warm city of Ica, Peru, where she discovered art at an early age. In school she won a medal of honor for graduating first in her art class. Later, she became a professor of Visual Arts. Her oil paintings have been featured in exhibitions in several countries. Her favorite style is Surrealism. Her other loves include guitar, traditional Peruvian dance, and theater.
Lindsey is originally from Dallas, TX, and has lived in Washington D.C., San Francisco, and now Atlanta. He studied animation and design at Academy of Art University, and can be found most days creating motion graphics, videos, and other fun things at his studio. He has created video content for companies such as Panasonic and Hewlett Packard, and has taught illustration and cartooning in California and Georgia. He lives in north Atlanta with his wife and their two young rabbits.
Nobella was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She attended Tulane University, where she found her passion for painting and jewelry making. Due to Hurricane Katrina, Nobella relocated to Atlanta and continued working on her passion for cultural art and henna tattooing.
She is an active community fixture in Atlanta’s Historic West End Community, where she and her husband work in real estate and community development, utilizing art and music as a platform for awareness and change. She likes to spend her extra time with her cane corso and her tabby.
Scott hails from Malden, Massachusetts, and attended the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where he studied painting, printmaking and animation. He is intensely interested in the intersection of art and technology, and is at home with computer graphics and traditional materials. He lives in Tucker, Georgia, where he enjoys spending time with his two sons. An advocate of life-long learning, Scott has had a long and varied career as an illustrator, animator, multimedia artist and instructor. His favorite artists are Jack Kirby and John Singer Sargent.
Stephanie was born and raised in Bronx, New York. She currently resides in Atlanta, GA and graduated from Clark Atlanta University with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice in 2015. Her new found interest is watching and assisting others with their paintings while at Painting With A Twist - Buckhead, such fun!! She also loves to read, hang with friends/family, and you bet you can always catch her dancing during classes!
Tristin is a talented artist born in Atlanta, GA. She graduated from Spelman College with a Bachelors degree in Political Science with a focus in Visual Communications. She started painting at the young age of 10 and started teaching young kids and senior citizens while attending a local arts high school. In high school she focused on visual arts and creative writing. While in high school she studied at the University of Southern California's creative arts and design summer program for four consecutive years. In her free time Tristin enjoys music, sewing and traveling. This Fall she is planning on opening her own online Boutique where she will design and sew custom pieces for women and men with all interests while incorporating her paintings.
