Q: I can't paint, can I really do this?
A: Yes. We promise, if you can have fun and hold a paintbrush, you can do this!
Q: Do I need to bring anything?
A: Bring your favorite people, munchies, we are a BYOB studio. For alcoholic beverages, you are welcome to bring beer and/or wine only no liquor. You are also welcome to bring nonalcoholic beverages. We supply the canvas, paint, brushes & aprons. From landscapes, abstracts and cityscapes to creative renderings of animals, iconic buildings and florals, brush stroke after brush stroke will bring you closer to completing your own brilliant creation. Don't forget your camera, lots of folks like to take pics throughout the process. At the end of the class, you will have tapped into your inner artist and created a one-of-a kind work of art!
Q: Should I bring cups/plates for my drink or snacks?
A: We provide the cups, napkins, paper plates and a cork screw. We want you to relax and have a blast.
Q: Do I have to have any painting experience?
A: No experience is necessary! This is NOT serious painting! Our instructors are fun and will guide you through the painting step-by-step. So sit back, relax and enjoy the ride!
Q: How much is it?
A: Our 1.5 hour sessions (12 and under) are $25, 2 hour sessions are $35.00, and 3 hour sessions are $45.00 per person/canvas.
Q: Can I watch my friends paint?
A: Each person present in studio must have a paid seat.
Q: When do you post a new monthly schedule?
A: The calendar is posted on the 15th of every month.
Q: Will my painting be dry by the end of the night?
A: Yes, if there are a few damp places we will have hair dryers which will dry them quickly.
Q: What's the recommended age for Family Sessions?
A: These events are open to everyone in the family. It is designed for all ages, but 7 years and up are recommended. Parents must escort attending children of all ages and stay on the premises during the event. * Alcohol is not allowed during the Family Sessions.
Q: Do you do private parties?
A: Please see the Party Info Tab for more information on booking a private party. Painting with a Twist is a fun, unique opportunity for any of your group party needs. Whether it’s a girl’s night out, bachelorette party, birthday party, office party, or office team building – we are your private party answer! Party studio available 7 days a week.
Q: What happens if I don't finish my painting in class?
A: Didn't finish your painting, or simply want to touch it up? Once a month, artists will be available to guide you through the rest of your painting. This event is free, but please make a reservation online so we know you’re coming. Please refer to our current calendar for the next S.O.S. date.
Q: What is Painting with a Purpose?
A: In our ongoing commitment to give back to the community, Painting with a Twist proudly sponsors a monthly fundraising class - Painting with a Purpose. 50% of the proceeds from the Painting with a Purpose classes are donated to local non-profit organization (501(c)3). Contact us if you know of an organization that could use a little ‘Pay it Forward’.
Q: What if I have to cancel? What's your policy?
A: We ask that you contact us at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot make it to your reserved class and we will issue you a store credit. If we are not notified within 24 hours, you will be charged the full amount and no store credit will be issued. Groups of 5 or more must cancel 72 hours before the date of the class. Q: At what time should I arrive for class?
A: Arriving 10-15 minutes early is recommended to get uncorked, smocked & in your seat! If you desire more time to unwind, we invite you to arrive up to 30 minutes prior to start time- it's your Happy Half Hour!
Q: What do I wear?
A: Whatever is comfortable and you don't mind if a little paint gets on it. We will have aprons for you to use as well.
Q: Do I need a reservation?
A: We do require reservations with payment to secure seats and we require a 24 hour cancellation. No calls/no shows will not be issued store credit or refunds
Q: What size is the canvas?
A: We use a 16 x 20 inch canvas.
Q: Are gratuities appropriate?
A: We feel our artist/host do a fabulous job, if you feel so inclined to let them know with a gratuity (tip) it is always greatly appreciated but never expected.
Q: Can children under 18 years old paint?
A: Yes. Our sessions have age recommendations in the party descriptions. Guests 12 and older are always welcome at any of our daytime sessions. Family Days are available for younger children. Private parties are a fabulous way to include guests of all ages. Again, please know that adult supervision is always required.
Ages 21 and up to consume alcohol. BYOB beer and wine are permitted in the studio, but no liquor. NO alcohol during Family classes. Drink Responsibly.
For open classes: 18+ for evening sessions. Individuals under 18 years old allowed only in accordance with class description, no infants or toddlers.
