What is Painting with a Twist?

We are an absolutely fabulous new fun night out and we're thrilled to be here in Daytona Beach! We combine having a good time with friends with painting and at the end of the night you'll come home with a finished product you can be proud to say that you've created yourself! You can sip your favorite wine or beverage and paint a picture along with a local artist. We'll show you step-by-step how to paint a beautiful work of art that you will take home at the end of the event.

Our mission is to offer you an absolutely fantastic time with your friends and will help debunk the idea that you can't paint once and for all! Painting With A Twist is a fun art studio for anyone interested in painting! We use acrylic paints on 12"x12", 10"x30", 16"x20" canvases, shiplap/specialty MDF shaped boards, glass and real pine wood boards. We provide everything you'll need to take part in a event, all that's missing is you. Almost 90% of our guests have no painting experience and all of them have great success!

What are you doing to prevent the spread of COVID-19?

We offer ZOOM events as well as in-studio events. We use socially distanced seating so all of you belongings, snacks and drinks are kept near your seat. We sanitize all counters, door handles, bathrooms paintbrushes and easels after each event. Per our local government regulations we have reduced our maixumum room capacity and require everyone to wear a mask.

Can I stop in anytime and paint or do I need a reservation?

We hold step-by-step events at various times throughout the month. We also offer DIY events a few days each week from 12-4 pm. We encourage you to join us. Please browse our Daytona Beach Painting Events Calendar, select a event you like and register online. Pre-registration is preferred for all events but you're welcome to register at the studio no less than 30 minutes before the scheduled event start time.

What are the prices for a event?

Two hour events are offered ranging from $35 to $47 and three hour events from $45 to $67. Select Family Day events are offered for $27.

Are we allowed to bring in beverages and food?

We are NOT a BYOB. Please do not bring any alcohol to the studio. We offer a limited selection of beer and wine for sale in studio. View our Beer & Wine Menu Options and prices. Must be 21 & up to consume on premise. -  You are more than welcome to bring in some light snacks or finger foods. Remember you are painting most of the time so finger foods are best! Private parties have a built in "social time" for snacking and mingling.

At what time should I arrive for events?

No less than fifteen to thirty minutes would be plenty of lead time.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Your reservation fee includes everything you need to create a beautiful and unique painting! When you arrive you are supplied with an apron, canvas, brushes, paints and step by step art instruction throughout the event! When the event is over, your artwork is ready to hang! The only thing you may want to bring are some non-alcoholic refreshments. We have beer and wine for sale in studio. We supply the cups and wine openers.

What do I wear?

Whatever is comfortable. Preferably something you won't mind if a little paint gets on. We have aprons for you to help protect your clothes.

Can my child come with me to paint?

We have specific events on our calendar for young artists!

Family Day events are intended for ages 7 and up but all ages are welcome to paint. We encourage you to use this painting experience to bond with your child, but your participation is not required. You must, however, remain in the studio while your child is painting. You may sit beside them as long as space allows. If another painter needs the seat we ask that you move to another part of the studio.

Afternoon or daytime events (events beginning before 5:00 p.m.) are intended for all ages.

Adult events (5:00 p.m. and later) are for adults 18 and up. We do however allow guests 15 and up to join our adult events as long as they are accompanied by another adult painter. If an evening event is not specifically listed as an adult event then your younger artists, 11+ are welcome to join us for that event.

Will my painting be dry by the end of the event?

Yes, if there are a few damp places we will have hair dryers which will dry them quickly.

Can my friends come and watch us without painting?

Everyone needs a paid seat to stay on premises during all public events. All attendees painting or not must purchase a seat in advance. We recommend that EVERYONE paints! Who wants to watch paint dry?!? :)

We can accommodate a limited number of non-painting guests for Private Parties if space allows. Please text or call during studio office hours to inquire about additional details.

Do you do private parties?

Yes, we can accommodate up to 20 people in our small studio and up to 46 people in our large studio. Please click here for our Party Info.

When do you post a new monthly schedule?

We try and keep at least 4 weeks of our calendar in view at all times. We post the next two additional weeks on the 1st and 15th of each month.

Where are you located?

We are located in the center the Shoppes @ One Daytona.

5 miles east of I-95 on International Speedway Blvd (ISB) at the corner of Bill France Blvd.

Paint Your Pet Cancellation Policy:

Paint Your Pet events require no less than 7 days notice before the event. If you notify the studio more than 7 days from your Paint Your Pet reservation date, you can choose between studio credit or refund. If paid by credit card a refund will be issued upon request less a $5 fee to cover credit card processing. Cash reservations will receive a full refund.

Guests canceling a Paint Your Pet reservation within 7 days of the event or guests making a reservation within 7 days of the Paint Your Pet event are bound by the following conditions:

For guests requesting a studio credit (a studio credit is a non-expiring credit that can be used for any future event in our studio) we would issue the studio credit as follows. Once Paint Your Pet sketches have been completed, the surfaces they were sketched on are no longer useable for any other event. As such, a studio credit issued would be less the cost for the surface each guest has chosen as well as the cost already paid to the artist for completing the sketch. Surface costs vary by product and are available upon request. The balance would constitute the studio credit and would be available for use for ANY future event, not just a Paint Your Pet event. We would send that credit via email to the same email address in the reservation and it would contain a code to be used when making a future reservation.

For guests requesting a refund, we would process the refund as follows. Once Paint Your Pet sketches have been completed, the surfaces they were sketched on are no longer useable for any other event. As such, a refund issued would be less the cost for the surface each guest has chosen as well as the cost already paid to the artist for completing the sketch. Surface costs vary by product and are available upon request. There will be an additional $5 fee deducted from the balance before issuing the refund to cover credit card processing.

Painting with a Twist reserves the right to cancel events for unforeseen circumstances. Registrants will be notified at least 24 hours prior to event time and refunds will be processed.
