Priscilla first fell in love with PWAT when she and her sister Kayla attended a class together. Though she didn't consider herself an artist at the time she felt at home with the whole concept of art and how it strengthened the relationships of all in the room. It wasn't long after, that her and her husband Britt started on the road to opening their very own studio! She considers herself very blessed to be apart of this amazing company!
Suzanne is a San Antonio native. At a very young age she discovered her interest in drawing and art after finding a box full of her mothers old artwork from her high school fashion design class. During this time her older sister was also discovering her talent of singing and music. This created a desire in Suzanne to learn to sing and share in many talents among her siblings.
From then on she strived to learn how to be a better artist, singer and performer. Over time she took a special interest in learning how to draw the human form which lead to her becoming a portrait artist in 1995. Her love of music and performing in different bands over the years helped in her efforts to start her own band, "Starling", in 2011. Both art and performing are an integral part of her life and working for Painting with a Twist provides an outlet that satisfies both passions.
Laura’s passion for art began at a very young age when she first picked up a color crayon and created a fabulous mural on the wall of her bedroom. Laura grew up amongst Northern California’s vineyards and beautiful hills in lovely Sonoma County. In college, Laura discovered an affinity for numbers and went on to obtain a master’s degree in accounting. After having children Laura pursued a career in teaching and holds teaching certificates in elementary and special education. Being a military spouse, Laura has had the amazing experience to live all over the world and appreciate many different cultures. Laura began teaching painting as a volunteer while living at Sheppard AFB and has now channeled her love for teaching and art into her position as an instructor at PWAT.
(The story about the coloring on the wall is one of my earliest memories. I had to scrub those walls for hours afterward, lol).
