Painting with a Twist FAQ

Due to COVID-19 our offerings and requirements are subject to change. Please see our calendar for updated public class and kit information, or contact the studio directly at studio107@paintingwithatwist.com or call or TEXT 813-644-7575.  Due to current restrictions, Virtual Events are a great option for gathering with friends in a safe setting, from the comfort of your home. Kids events are also great options for Virtual Classes. 

Q: What are the prices for a class?

A: Classes range from $37-$60.  View the monthly calendar for event prices.

Q: When do you post a new monthly schedule?

A: The calendar is posted around the 15th of each month for the following month.

Q: Will my painting be dry by the end of the night?

A: Yes, if there are a few damp places, there are blow dryers to dry them quickly.

Q: At what time should I arrive for class?

A: Fifteen to 20 minutes prior to class so that you have time to unwind, visit with friends & breathe before we get started.

Q: Do you do reserved seating?

A: Yes, a paid reservation will guarantee your seat. If you are coming with others, please indicate the name of the group or party members to be seated together.

Q: Can we bring food and drinks?

A: Yes, feel free to bring a snack and drink or load up a picnic basket or cooler!

Q: Can we bring wine or beer?

A: Yes, you can bring wine, beer or champagne. Hard liquor is NOT permitted in our studio. Guests must be 21 to consume alcohol.

Q: Do you have cups, plates and napkins?

A: Yes, plastic cups, plates, napkins, forks, wine bottle openers are provided. Buckets for ice are available too. We do NOT provide Ice.

Q: What do I wear?

A: What ever is comfortable. We have aprons to protect your clothing.

Q: Do I need a reservation?

A: Yes, reservations are required. Payments can be made online with Master Card, Visa, Amex or Discover Card or by calling the studio: 813-944-0038 All payments for online reservations are processed at the time the reservation is made. We do not take credit card information through email.

Q: What happens if I have to cancel my reservation?

Cancellation and Refund Policy: No refunds; all Sales are Final.

No refunds or store credits for Twist at Home Kits, Twist at Home Virtual Kits, or Ship to Home Kits. (all sales are final)

We require a minimum 24-hour advanced notice for cancellation of a reservation in order to receive a store credit. No refunds will be issued.

We understand that some people may need to cancel, whether it be due to illness or concerns due to exposure. Should you have to cancel due to illness, concerns of exposure, or any other reason, please call our studio and leave a message with your name, phone number and the date and time of the class.

We will issue store credit for any cancellations. The store credit will be for the full amount paid for the class and can be used at a later date and time to attend a class at our studio. There is no expiration date on the store credit.

Should it become necessary for US to cancel a class, we will personally contact you and you will receive a store credit for the full amount of your reservation or a refund.

Q: Do you do Private pARTies?

A: Yes, we can accommodate you and your group. Click here for more information about our Private Parties

Q: What size is the canvas?

A: The standard canvas size is 16" x 20". We have many options of surfaces and sizes available. Check the individial event for options.

Q: Is there an age limit?

A: Yes. Family Days accomodate painters ages 7+ prior to 7pm. NO infants or toddlers in ANY session including private parties.  Weekday evenings, (M-TH) we welcome painters ages 13+.  Friday & Saturday nights are for ages 17+. NO exceptions. Check the individual event for age restrictions. You must be 21 years old with proper ID to consume alcoholic beverages per Florida Law. We reserve the right to ask for ID.

Q: Should I tip the artist and/or assistant?

A: If you had an exceptional time, you are welcome to tip the staff. They would greatly appreciate it and be thrilled. 

Q: Can my friends hang out and NOT paint?

A: All attendees painting or not must purchase a seat in advance. We recommend that EVERYONE paints! Who wants to watch paint dry anyway! :) We can acommodate a limited number of non-painting guests for Private Parties if space allows.

Our minimum class size is 5. If we have less than 5 registered guests the class may be cancelled and a refund or store credit will be issued.

Painting with a Twist reserves the right to cancel classes for unforeseen circumstances. Registrants will be notified at least 24 hours prior to class time and refunds or Gift Certificates will be processed.
