Abilene, TX Painting with a Twist Artists

I'm not technically an Abilene native, but since my family came here when I was five, I might as well be! I've been creating art as long as I can't remember, so when the opportunity came up to use my love of art and get paid for it, I jumped on it! I spend my free time chasing my rambunctious son, writing, reading, snuggling my three fur babies, and making art of many kinds.

I was born and raised in Abilene and am currently in my senior year at Hardin-Simmons University majoring in painting and drawing. I talk about Bob Ross and Disney movies all the time and there’s a good chance I’ll be roller skating when you see me!

I like anything that can help me express myself artistically! I am currently a Sculpture and Painting Major at ACU! I hope to see y'all around the studio soon!

Besides being the studio owner, wife & mother to a 6-year-old little diva, Lauren is also an artist! Although she has only been painting for a short time, her passion for art stems from childhood. Growing up with a mother who is an artist has given her the eye for art, she just didn't know she had it in her... until now! Outside of the studio, she enjoys yoga, reading inspirational books, spending time with family, and Netflix marathoning with her husband.

Natalie has only been a Texas resident since 2015, but found the state to be so enchanting that she stayed. She joined the team at Painting with a twist in November 2016, and loves the work. She hopes she'll get to teach you, and tell you stories about her cat (she's very cool, we promise).

Besides living that #dogmom life, being a professional Netflix-binger, and attending ACU for her Marketing degree, Sarah is an artist and the assistant manager here at PWAT! After moving around her whole life (10 different places!), all due to being an Army Brat, Sarah became an adopted Texan 5 years ago and met her husband! You’ll run into her soon enough and she’s super excited to teach and hang out with you guys!

I've lived in Abilene since I was 6 and went to high school at Jim Ned where I fell in love with art and developed myself as an artist in my art classes with the help of an amazing art teacher. Ever since then it has been an outlet that allows me to relax and have fun while creating. I'm currently in school studying to become a pediatric occupational therapist. The fact that I get to study something I'm passionate about while supporting myself at a job where I get to do what I love makes life sweet! Along with amazing friends, family and my sweet Aussie Missy (oh and my fish Oswald).

Painting has been a passion of mine since elementary school! I am from the smaller cities around Dallas but came to ACU for college. I am majoring in psychology and minoring in art therapy. My cat, Clio, is my baby who loves to watch me paint, as well as participate by touching my canvas and grabbing my brushes! Aside from being an artist and a cat mom, I have two other jobs that I am passionate about! I am excited to meet and teach you all!
