Fun Things to Do in Lacey, Olympia & Tumwater: Fall Is Arriving at the Studio
Looking for fun things to do in Lacey, Olympia or Tumwater, WA? As August winds down and September approaches, things are starting to change at Painting with a Twist – Lacey.
We're not quite ready to say goodbye to summer, but fall—and just a little bit of spooky—is beginning to creep into the studio.
And there's a lot more to create than a canvas.
What's Happening at the Studio?
Our calendar is always filled with paintings to choose from, but some upcoming events bring a little something extra to the experience.
Set sail with Ulysses: An Epic Tale, or grab your favorite people for Besties in Bathrobes. Our book club events bring together two things we love—getting creative and connecting with other people over a good book.
And, of course, Pumpkin Spice is making its way back into the studio as we head toward fall.
Whether your style is sophisticated, cozy, social or just a little spooky, there's something different waiting on the calendar.
Chunky Knit Season Is Coming
There's something about cooler weather that makes us want to get cozy.
Our chunky knit workshops let you trade the paintbrush for wonderfully soft, oversized yarn and create something completely different.
This season, look for chunky knit gnomes, chunky knit witch hats and chunky knit ghosts. They're fun, whimsical projects that fit perfectly with fall and the beginning of spooky season.
And don't worry if you've never tried a chunky knit project before. We'll guide you through it.
Fall Workshops: Make Something You Can Enjoy at Home
We're also bringing some of our favorite fall fragrances into the studio.
Our special fall workshops include opportunities to make your own scented candles and melt-and-pour soap, choosing fragrances and creating something that's uniquely yours.
It's a different kind of creative experience and a fun way to spend time with friends while making something you'll actually use after you get home.
A Little Spooky Is Creeping In
We're easing into spooky season rather than rushing summer out the door.
As August comes to an end and we move through September, you'll start seeing ghosts, witchy projects, Halloween-inspired paintings and other slightly spooky creations appearing alongside our fall favorites.
Not ready for Halloween yet? That's okay, too. Our calendar includes plenty of non-seasonal paintings and projects.
