Karen

Karen

Karen is originally from Baton Rouge, La, and spent most of her life inTexas, relocating to the Temple area in 2014 when she joined the PWAT team. She graduated from Texas State University with a BBA in management and focused on a corporate career in both the insurance and legal industries. Having no formal art education or training, she is self taught and has sketched and painted all her life, and art has always been second nature to her. She loves painting and creating and has discovered that she also loves teaching and really enjoys sharing her gift of painting with others. Helping people learn to paint has become a never ending rewarding experience to her and she absolutely loves her 'job'! She is also a freelance artist and enjoys painting anything from murals to Tom's shoes and everything in between. When she's not in the studio painting, she enjoys spending time with her husband Robin, raising and caring for their alpacas and all the other critters at their ranch. Karen and her husband Robin recently purchased the Temple studio and are very excited about their new adventure and look forward to inspiring people to have fun and create lasting memories through art!

He says, “By being creative, you are free to add your own individuality into anything you create.” He’s lived in Texas all his life, grew up in different cities, and all his experiences thrive on that, individuality. His favorite mediums are acrylics, pastels and pencils. While working on various pieces, he uses different tools to aid him with inspiration for his creations. When he is not working with art, he ventures outdoors for hiking and running to revitalize the senses. Also, he enjoys gaming, watching movies, relaxing, and being out with family and friends.

Whimsical with a twist of mischief, Lana's style reflects her fun kitschy nature and eclectic tastes. A mother of one wild child, named Wesley and two doggie children, one of which is a bulldog named Sheldon, and FIVE kitties, Lana's deep love for art, music, animals and life, is conveyed in one way or another in each and every piece of art she creates. Talented in the arts and driven by a desire to travel and express herself, Lana's creative outlets are diverse. From creating jewelry to humanitarian efforts, her energy is endless and contagious.

Lila

Born and raised in Temple, Texas, Lila is a young artist with a love of acrylics. She’s been painting for as long as she can remember, and loves to teach others about her passion. Outside the studio, she enjoys creative writing, journalism, and the sciences. Even though she was born in Texas, and her family is from South Africa, she hopes to go to college somewhere up north. There, she will pursue a degree in neuroscience, while still continuing to paint whenever she can.
