April is the owner of PWAT North Olmsted, after working as a stage artist and manager since 2020. April has been active in the arts since high school where she took vocational commercial art. She went on to study Art Education at the University of Akron. She is a mother of two children, one dog, and two cats! She looks forward to helping you create a masterpiece while having a blast doing so! Remember - there are no mistakes, just happy accidents!
Faith recently started working at Painting with a Twist but has been creating art her whole life. She paints frequently, but also enjoys other art forms, such as making costumes, and taking photos. She is a senior in high school and hopes to continue her art in whatever the future lies for her. She feels very at-home being surrounded by other amazing artists and instructors and is ready to learn a lot.
Hope is originally from Louisville, KY and moved up here in 2021 with her parents to help her older sister with her first child. Hope is 24 years old and has been doing art her whole life. Her favorite mediums are graphite pencils, acrylic paint, and card stock with glue. Hope is currently enrolled at Cleveland State studying to be a special needs teacher. In her free time Hope loves singing, trying new crafts, playing video games, hanging out with her boyfriend and family and snuggling her dog.
Ilona is a multidisciplinary artist and storyteller from Richfield, OH. A lifelong explorer of the arts, she primarily works with painting, drawing, photography, writing, filmmaking, and other visual and musical arts. She holds degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Art and the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she received her MFA in 2021. She came back to Cleveland, where she's thrilled to bring the joy of painting to the North Olmsted Painting with a Twist studio. She believes that everyone is an artist, and looks forward to working with artists of all skill levels to make fun art, as well as fine art!
Josh is attending Baldwin Wallace University as a Visual Studio Arts major with an Art History minor. He entered Painting With a Twist as an assistant in June of 2023, and became an artist in July of 2023 and has been teaching ever since. When Josh is not at the studio, you can find him working in his studio at home working on projects that revolve all around the anatomical heart!
Lilly is one of our newest artists! She is currently working on getting her college degree and has been painting for over 5 years! She has been locally selling her art for over 2 years now, and has her art being displayed for sale in the bar, “Front Street Social” in Berea Ohio and works coming soon to, “Common Grounds Coffee Shop” in Cleveland Ohio! Lilly is currently 19 years old and plans to pursue some type of art career. She is currently teaching herself how to tattoo as well as animate illustrations. Margaret Harper Jenkins (known as Mars by close friends and family) is a Cleveland-based creative who dabbles in many different outlets of expression. Classically trained in illustration and sculpture, Mars majored in studio art with a minor in psychology and a pre-certificate in art therapy at Cleveland State University during the year 2019. After graduation, Mars began teaching acrylic painting classes with Painting with a Twist while also working as a freelance makeup artist. Creating work that fosters child-like joy, but through story-telling and intentionality; Mars's artwork is a constant unfurling; shedding layers around her soul to reach an authentic and expressive core, while being honest with that essence whether it be dark and brooding or light and cheery. The driving force behind her professional and artistic pursuits is to foster meaningful and impactful relationships with individuals and communities- specifically through the promotion of the arts. Advocacy and storytelling are at the core of her work. Mars’s philosophy remains tied to the belief that education of the arts is a right, not a privilege- that everyone should have access to art and the materials to create it. Mars believes art is the catalyst for amplifying voices and uniting communities
Rusty is a multidisciplinary artist finishing his degree at Baldwin Wallace in Fine Arts and Marketing. He has been making art since he could hold a brush, and now primarily works with oil paint, ceramics, and intaglio printing. He started at Painting With a Twist in August of 2025 and has worked in the food industry since he was 16. When Rusty isn't in the studio, you can find him in his studio at home, at the library, hiking, or cooking with friends!
Sarah has been an artist all her life. When she was young she loved to draw comics of her dog and could always be found with a sketchbook working on a drawing. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus in Drawing and Painting from Bowling Green State University. She gained in depth experience with oil and acrylic paint, along with drawing modalities, and a multitude of other art making practices that have strengthened her craft - from printmaking to photography, and so much more. Post university she was based out of Los Angeles. She became an instructor, has published a children’s poetry book “Here & There” and a graphic novel “Coquette Asleep in the Poppies”, has created countless album covers and music related artwork, painting and drawing commissions, has started animating, has exhibited in galleries and art shows in Ohio, Southern California and other areas, and has begun live-streaming her art on Twitch. She believes that everyone deserves to experience the novel phenomenon of creating art. She wants to share her passion with others, and contribute to the access to art making for seasoned painters and new to the craft alike
Vicki’s had a passion for art since childhood, to create something amazing from nothing but an idea and some supplies. She graduated from Cuyahoga Community College for Graphic Design, where she enjoyed learning the skills for design, ceramics, and art. She keeps busy between being a full time mom, unofficial comedian, making paintings, wood burning crafts, and more. She is now delighted to be an artist with the team at North Olmsted Painting with a Twist.
