Our Denton, TX Painting with a Twist Artists

Jacobi

Jacobi

Jacobi has been in Denton, Texas since 2006 and has been working for Painting with a Twist since September 2016. Starting as an assistant and instructor, she is now the manager of the Denton Painting with a Twist. She has both her cosmetology and culinary arts certification, and she has been expressing her creative side from the age of 4. Painting with a twist has given her the opportunity to be the social butterfly she is and to express her love for painting. When she isn't busy chasing after her two little boys or at the studio, she can be found painting commissions for others. Check out her website, link above!

Jenna

Jenna

Jenna moved to Denton from Plano, Texas in 2009 to begin her college career at the University of North Texas. Upon graduating in 2013 with a Drawing and Painting degree, she realized that Denton had become home. Somewhere along the way, she decided to become a forever student and is now pursuing a degree in Fashion Design at the University of North Texas. When she isn’t reading an eBook or watching TV with her cat Tonks, she is working through her endless list of projects. She has a passion for everything creative and considers herself a “jack of all creative trades.” She started working for Painting with a Twist in June 2017, almost a year after she attended her first Painting with a Twist class. Check out my website to see more of my work and what clothes I'm working on currently- link above.

Jess

Jess

Jess moved to Denton, from Burleson, in 2016 to pursue a drawing and painting degree from the University of North Texas. Jess has been with Painting with a Twist since May of 2018. With hopes of becoming a professor at a college, Painting with a Twist has given her an opportunity to become proficient in customer interaction, socializing, and cultivating teaching abilities. Jess believes the best part of the job is seeing how everyone’s paintings differ and reflect personal artistic style. When Jess is not working she can be found at home spending time with her family or on campus working towards her degree.

Laura

Laura

Laura is a Denton born artist who attended Texas Woman’s University for Art Education. Like any artist, Laura enjoys dabbling in many mediums, crafts, skills such as crochet, embroidery, watercolor, d.i.y, recycled “trashion” fashion with affinities for color, animals, landscape, hand-lettering, or anything spooky. Some of her favorite inspirations include artists Mark Ryden (Pop Surrealist Painter), Christine McConnell (Photographer, Extreme Baker), Brandi Milne (Pop Surrealist), Drag Queens, 80s dance playlists, cats and any dogs that are seen from our shop window. Laura’s favorite thing to paint is anything colorful, and is always thrilled to see others trying new things and playing with paint! She also loves it when you share your wine and cookies with her. Lastly, a quote from Vincent Van Gogh, “If you hear a voice within you say 'you cannot paint,' then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.”
