Hi everybody, I’m Chris! I’m a multidisciplinary artist, educated in fine arts and film from Columbia College Chicago. Working as a freelance artist throughout metro Detroit, I’ve been involved in gallery exhibits, pop-up events, DIY spaces, and more! I have worked with pretty much every medium including music, film, photography, writing, textiles, hair dying, drawing, painting, sculpture- and I truly believe there is no limit to what creativity can do. I bring a diverse range of skills to my instructor position at painting with a twist- ensuring classes are both easy to follow & educational, while remaining fun & entertaining! hello! my name is rachel, but you can call me ray! my pronouns are she/they, and i’ve been a lead artist at painting with a twist for five years. i absolutely LOVE my job, getting to create paintings and meet new people are two of my favorite things to do - and my fellow staff members are like family to me! in my free time, i enjoy playing rhythm games, listening to alternative music, and watching horror movies! i’m also a licensed nail tech, and do nails in the metro detroit area - my creativity knows no bounds!
My name is Violet Twomey, and I am a born and raised Ferndale kid so I’ve taken my fair share of classes at Painting with a Twist prior to joining the team in 2025. Most of my art skills I would credit to my grandma’s way of keeping kids entertained growing up, though I have polished my skills while getting my BFA from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. Graduating in the spring of 2026 with a focus in 2D character animation. I am highly inspired by Dance, unique character choices, and story telling.
