Our Houston, TX - Midtown Painting with a Twist Artists
Jorge B (Cypress Artist)
I'm a Cuban-American illustrator and web/graphic designer. I started painting three years ago (when I joined the PWAT Cypress team) and I've fallen in love with it ever since. A few of my favorite things: parked car convos, simply made oj, dogs, funk, and cyberpunk.
Leo Fortuno graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Philippine Women¹s University in 1982 with honors. An award-winning artist, he also attended Layout and Production Art at the Art Institute in Houston in 1993 where he excelled in graphic design.
During the Gulf War, Leo worked in Kuwait as the Art Director of Fanateq Gallery. Because of the danger involved, he was left with no choice but to return home to the Philippines.
In 1991, Leo moved with his family to Houston, Texas where he started his own graphics business - Artworx Unlimited. Leo has been with the PWAT family since the 5th national studio opened in Sugar Land in 2012.
Aka: That Goofy Guy in the Hat
Origin: Jersey Village, TX
Pairs well with: paint, brushes, graphite, bubbles!
Located: PWAT Westheimer, PWAT Spring Valley
This Mexican/German blend is produced in the lush dairy farmlands of Jersey Village, TX and perfected partially in the Art Institute of Houston and the University of Houston. Often known as "That Goofy Guy in the Hat", this blend has a sweet yet spicy bouquet with a bright and pleasing finish reminiscent to certain fantasy-inspired renaissance festivals. Best enjoyed alone or with friends in 1 of 2 locations: Westheimer and Spring Valley.
Disclaimer: may cause inspired creativity, loud, festive behavior, and an inexplicable love for blowing bubbles!
