December Events in Cedar Park: Holiday Painting, Winter Kids Camp & New Year Fun

Make Room for the Moments: Holiday Fun in Cedar Park

There’s always one more gift to find, one more errand to run, and one more thing to finish before the holidays.

But when we think about what we want to remember from December, it’s usually something small: an afternoon with the kids, a good laugh with a friend, or time spent with someone we don’t see often enough.

That’s the spirit behind our holiday calendar at Cedar Park Painting With A Twist. We’re inviting you to put a little time together on the calendar.

Here are a few ways to make it happen.

When Everyone Is Finally in the Same Place

The grandparents are visiting. The cousins are together. Someone asks, “What should we do this afternoon?”

Bring them painting.

Our family painting events in Cedar Park give everyone a place at the easel and something to talk about along the way. Watch the kids choose their colors, compare everyone’s progress, and take a group photo with the finished paintings.

You might even discover who in the family follows directions—and who has an entirely different artistic vision.

Look for family events throughout December, after Christmas, and into the first weekend of January. Check each listing for age requirements.

When School’s Out and Your To-Do List Isn’t

Winter break is exciting for kids. For parents, it can take a little planning.

Our winter break kids art camps give young artists something of their own to look forward to: time to paint, explore, and enjoy being creative.

December options include:

  • December 18: A single-day camp.

  • December 21–23: Three mornings of art camp.

  • December 28–31: Four mornings of creativity.

  • December 29–31: A three-morning option.

  • January 4: A single-day camp.

Choose the session that fits your holiday schedule and review the listing for ages and camp details.

You take care of what needs doing. We’ll help them make something they can’t wait to show you.

When You Want to Give Something Personal

There’s a special feeling in saying, “I made this for you.”

Our December chunky knit workshops include tree skirts, stockings, and blankets—pieces you can give to someone you love or bring out in your own home year after year.

For pet lovers, Paint Your Pet offers another meaningful way to create a keepsake. Spend time painting a familiar face and leave with something that belongs in your home.

Check the event page for photo submission instructions and preparation details.

And if your handmade creation turns out to be too hard to part with? We understand.

When Your Little Reader Needs a New Adventure

Books and paintbrushes make a lovely pair.

On December 12, our collaboration with Paper Bark Birch brings stories and creativity together in one shared experience.

Make an afternoon of it with your young reader. It’s an opportunity to encourage their curiosity, enjoy some time together, and let their imagination stretch beyond the page.

When “Let’s Catch Up After the Holidays” Feels Too Far Away

You don’t have to wait until January to see your favorite people.

Choose a Manic Monday for an evening together, look for a designated Wednesday BOGO event, or meet for a Thursday afternoon paint and sip if your nights are already full.

Bring the friend who always makes you laugh. Invite the sibling you usually only see across a crowded dinner table. Come on your own if a little quiet creative time sounds best.

There’s room in December for a plan you’re simply happy to keep.

When You Need a Date That Makes You Put Your Phones Down

Pick a painting event, bring your favorite refreshments, and spend a couple of hours doing something together.

Our Cedar Park date night painting experiences give you time to talk, laugh, and see what happens when you both try something new. Our artists guide the painting, so you can settle in and enjoy each other’s company.

You’ll leave with artwork—and perhaps a friendly disagreement about whose painting deserves the best spot at home.

Friends and solo painters are welcome at many of these events, too. Check the listing to find your fit.

When You’re the One Planning the Holiday Party

The office celebration. Your annual friends’ get-together. The family gathering everyone’s counting on you to organize.

Give them something they can enjoy together: a private holiday painting party at Cedar Park Painting With A Twist.

Choose artwork for your group, bring your favorite food and drinks, and let our artists guide the painting. There’s time to laugh, catch up, and cheer each other on—and everyone leaves with something they created.

Our private painting experiences are a fun choice for company holiday parties, team celebrations, friends’ gatherings, and family Christmas parties. No painting experience needed!

Have a date in mind? Reach out early so we can help you explore availability and plan your celebration.

When Christmas Is Over but the Visit Isn’t

Those days between Christmas and New Year’s have a rhythm of their own. Leftovers in the fridge, a few toys still in their boxes, and relatives with another day or two in town.

Give everyone a reason to get out together.

Our after-Christmas painting events offer family outings, creative afternoons, and evening plans while the holiday gathering continues. Come make one more memory before the suitcases come back out.

When You Want to Welcome the New Year Your Way

Start New Year’s Eve with an afternoon at the easel. Our December 31 paint and sip runs from 2–4 PM, leaving time for whatever your evening holds.

Then keep the creativity going January 1–3 with family painting, date night options, and afternoon escapes.

January 3 also includes a 21+ figure-painting experience featuring artistic nudity for adults who want to explore a different style of art.

Your first outing of 2027 could be the start of a new tradition.

A Holiday Invitation From Jo & KD

We know you have plenty of ways to spend your December. It means a lot when you choose to spend a little of it with us.

Our favorite part is seeing what happens around the easels: the encouragement between friends, the proud smiles, and the moment someone realizes they’ve made something they love.

We hope there’s a little space for that in your holiday season.
