Our Akron, OH - Fairlawn Painting with a Twist Artists
Hannah has been with the Akron-Fairlawn PWAT studio since before it even opened. She designed the concept for the New Orleans themed mural in the back of the studio and painted it with her PWAT pals. Her favorite paintings to teach usually involve flowers, but she is happy to teach anything to anyone!
How does a quirky girl like me wind up working in a cool place like this?!
The story involves a lot of colorful language and enthusiastic embellishment.
However, I will say that a history in fashion design and a bachelors in Fine arts (including a love of different mediums), is what has lead me to teaching others how to paint at Painting with a Twist.
Outside of teaching classes at PWAT, I enjoy redesigning old clothes and refurbishing furniture. Also, raising my two young daughters. (And there’s certainly never a dull moment between my adorable girls who couldn’t be more opposite each other, incredibly sensitive and operating at maximum energy…all the time!)
Working at PWAT is an escape from the everyday tasks of life. I always look forward to being able to paint, be my usual crazy self, and meet new people. And I am having a blast along the way!
Learning to creatively express myself has been one of my best discoveries. I am a seamstress, painter and student at the University of Akron majoring in graphic design. If I see something cool, I just have to make it! The last thing that I built was a giant Jenga set. I love to see other people's creativity shine through and enjoy being a part of that process, especially when it comes to children. I believe firmly that people should never stop learning, so you'll teach me as I teach you ;)
