Hi, my name is Alaina! I have been a professional of coloring outside the lines ever since I could remember. Along with my love for art, I also love swimming, going on hikes, playing with my husky, and cooking up a new recipe any chance I get!
Hi everybody! My name is Era (pronounced EE-ra, like Era-placable) and I’m looking forward to hosting some awesome events at Painting with a Twist! I worked in animal shelters for the biggest part of my career, but studied both psychology and art at a master’s degree level. After my work with the most adorable animals, I am here to return to my roots with my passion for art and sprinkling in my psychology knowledge to create a warm, friendly, and exciting environment for all of us to have a fun time. I’ll see you all at the studio!
Hello, I’m Gabi Lacijan! I am a visual artist and middle school art educator with a passion for drawing, painting, and creating art that feels approachable, expressive, and fun. I earned my degree in digital and studio Art from SUNY Oneonta in 2020 and went on to receive my Master’s degree in K–12 Art Education from Adelphi University in 2022. My own artwork often combines realistic subjects with abstract and surreal elements, allowing me to experiment with color, shape, and imagination. As an art teacher, I have developed a love for guiding others through the creative process and helping people feel confident in their artistic abilities. I enjoy creating a relaxed and encouraging environment where everyone can explore their creativity without worrying about being “perfect.” I am excited to bring my experience as both an artist and educator to Painting with a Twist, making each class an enjoyable opportunity to learn, create, and have fun!
Janae-Marie is so excited to be a part of the Painting with a Twist team! With over a decade of professional experience, her artistic talents have graced numerous community events through face painting, set design and custom paintings. Lately, she has directed her skills to teach and guide individuals of all ages—from arts and crafts sessions to paint and sip gatherings. Janae’s favorite part of teaching is witnessing her students’ joy in their completed work, especially when they achieve something they never thought possible! As one her favorite artists, Bob Ross, says: we don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents… and she can’t wait to paint with you to enjoy all the fun, beauty and happy little accidents created on your canvass!
This is Lily. She's been an artist her whole life and can't wait to teach you how to paint a beautiful piece! Lily is known for her theatrics and her outgoing personality, and one day she wants to be a tattoo artist. Lily loves cats, sushi, art, and theater. She hopes to see you soon in one of our classes at Painting with a Twist!
