Amanda is a CSUCI student, artist, and preschool teacher from Ventura County. She’s currently finishing her BA in Studio Arts and Anthropology. She loves working with any artistic mediums that she can get her hands on and spends her free time hiking, reading, and creating. Amanda’s love of art is a big part of her work with preschoolers and she loves seeing people of all ages experience the joy of painting. In her own words: "My favorite part of Painting with a Twist is getting to encourage others to explore art in a fun way!"
Jade is an artist from San Diego. She has been drawing and painting her entire life and recently finished her BA in Fine Arts and Early Childhood Education at CSUCI. Having a passion for all art mediums and materials, Jade’s favorite style of art is mixed media. In her spare time, she enjoys painting outdoors, eating and cooking good food, and dancing around the Painting with a Twist studio. In her own words, "Art has always been a passion of mine and to be able to share that with others in a fun environment like Painting with a Twist is a dream come true."
Jessica is a Ventura County native and spent four years at Berkeley (GO BEARS!) studying English before getting an MBA at Cal Lutheran. She does a little bit of everything at PWAT from running the social media to tending the bar and teaching classes. When she’s not at the studio, she’s a financial management supervisor, proud cat mom, world traveler, and volunteer wish granter. In her own words: “My favorite part of every class is seeing how different each painting turns out. Everyone puts their own spin on the painting and they’re all beautiful!”
Kat is a Camarillo native currently studying to get her teaching credential and Master's degree at Cal Lutheran University. In her spare time, she loves to crochet and learn new ways to craft. In her own words: "Painting is a chance for individuals to create a unique piece of art to share with others which brings us together."
A native Californian, Rose started her art career as a technical illustrator. She is currently teaching art at an elementary school in Moorpark. She loves creating fantasy creatures, abstracts, animal portraits and landscapes using acrylic and watercolor paints. She’s married with three children, one dog, and two bunnies. In her spare time she enjoys competing and coaching archery. In her own words: “At school I’m the fun teacher. We enjoy the process of creating and don’t worry so much about the outcome. Painting with a Twist lets me bring that childhood joy to adults.”
This is a 21+ studio. Please bring your ID. No BYOB allowed. Absolutely no outside beverage of any kind, including water, allowed to be brought into the studio. The studio bar offers beer, wine, and soft drinks for sale.
