Our Camarillo, CA Painting with a Twist Artists

Jessica

Jessica

Jessica is a Ventura County native and spent four years at Berkeley (GO BEARS!) studying English before getting an MBA at Cal Lutheran. She does a little bit of everything at PWAT from running the social media to tending the bar and teaching classes. When she’s not at the studio, she’s an international programs analyst, mother of House Panthers, world traveler, and Royal Family enthusiast. In her own words: “My favorite part of every class is seeing how different each painting turns out. Everyone puts their own spin on the painting and they’re all beautiful!”

Mariel

Mariel

Mariel is an artist and art teacher from Bar Harbor, Maine. She graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in Art Education. Before moving to California, Mariel was a high school art teacher as well as a PWAT instructor. In her spare time she loves exploring beaches, visiting breweries with friends, and hiking with her husband. In her own words: “I love to see people enjoy the painting process and create something even when they say, ‘Oh, I can’t paint!’ – it’s great to see them happy with the experience and the final product.”

Rose

Rose

A native Californian, Rose started her art career as a technical illustrator. She is currently teaching art at an elementary school in Moorpark. She loves creating fantasy creatures, abstracts, animal portraits and landscapes using acrylic and watercolor paints. She’s married with three children, one dog, and two bunnies. In her spare time she enjoys competing and coaching archery. In her own words: “At school I’m the fun teacher. We enjoy the process of creating and don’t worry so much about the outcome. Painting with a Twist lets me bring that childhood joy to adults.”

Sam

Sam

Sam is an artist from Ventura County. She graduated with her BA in Studio Art from Humboldt State University. Sam's main love is painting but she also loves to do photography, ceramics, and digital illustration. In her free time, Sam loves to go see live music, grab a drink with friends, or head down to the beach. In her own words: "Painting with a Twist really brings out everyone's creative side, it's so exciting to see all the masterpieces at the end and I feel so lucky to have been a part of the fun!
