Alex joins us from Painting with a Twist in Fort Collins! He is a theatrical makeup artist and zombie enthusiast! When not painting his face at PWAT and teaching you to paint with your fingers you'll see him at haunted houses and roaming the woods in costume.
Avi joins our staff with lots of love for art and teaching kids to get creative! She loves spending time teaching and getting to know all the Twisters that enter our studio doors. Avi loves all things Harry Potter and challenges you to stump her with your HP trivia questions.
Reagan joins us from Alabama where she taught art at summer camps. She loves art and teaching people to relax and have fun with it. She says "ROLL TIDE" a lot but none of us Coloradans have figured out why.
I worked at the Painting with a Twist in Wixom Mi for the past couple of years, I am a sketch and digital artist but have adopted a love for painting as a new medium. I come from a very small town in California, moved to Colorado Springs after graduating high school, got married in Colorado then moved to Michigan to support my wife as she was working towards her masters at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). I’m very happy to be home here in Colorado! Art has always been a passion of mine and is very much a part of who I am. I have been drawing as far back as I can remember. I strive to be able to draw and paint anything and everything, not limiting myself to one style rather working to have an eclectic and diverse style. My hopes and dreams are to become an Animator and or a storyboard artist and work for film companies like Disney or Pixar!
Kayla is a Colorado native with a heart for art and for people. Always having a love for art since a young age, she explored many creative avenues with the years to come. She has done numerous acrylic paintings for clients, businesses and mural work as well. She has also studied theatre, performance, acting, scenic painting and scenic design with Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado. However, her true passion actually came to be caring for people. Currently studying with All Nations Church in the School of Church Planting, Kayla hopes to minister to many people around the nation and world with her husband. She plans to bring hope, therapeutic healing to others through her art, teach others in expressing themselves through art and hopes to open an art studio where she and her husband eventually start their own church.
Chelsea is a Texas native (please excuse the excessive use of the word “y’all”) who came to Colorado to be close to her family and for her love of adventure. She has been creating art from the moment she could hold a pencil. She was a teacher for young children, pre-teens, and kids with special needs for many years in her young adult life. She often did arts and crafts with her classes and loves creating coloring books for all ages to help people 1-100 find a way to unwind and have fun. “My life was really hard at times when I was growing up, art played a big part in helping me though it all”. Chelsea is a firm believer that art plays an important role for all ages, from strengthening your motor skills, relieving stress, and even learning about who you are and the way you express yourself as a unique individual. All Chelsea ever wanted in life was to teach and create art so it is easy to say she is very happy to be with Painting With A Twist.
Deanne has been a lover of art since the 2nd grade. She remembers her Art Teacher introducing her to artists like Van Gogh and Picasso! She grew up military, having traveled around Europe, thankful to have seen beautiful art in person at a young age. After high school she moved to San Francisco to attend The Academy of Art where she was introduced to figure drawing and fashion illustration. After missing the mountains of Colorado, she returned to study studio art at PPCC and Art History at UCCS. She loves everything Disney, FRIENDS, and embraces her nerd fandom side! She is a fire fighter wife and mother to 2 girls and a rescue pup named Luna (yes...Luna Lovegood) Deanne’s motto as a new Art Instructor...”if at first you don’t enjoy your painting, wine wine and more wine!”
