Ann Johnson
Call me what you want - artist, cook, fashion designer, community organizer, sister, friend. I have been developing various interests throughout my life that have contributed to my unique visual artistry. I have traveled across many states indulging in the ever so vast world of culinary art, visual art, and fashion design. Recently, my journey whisked me away to Ghana in west Africa to join collaborative efforts and enhance my skills in the culinary arts, visual arts, and fashion design for my business portfolio; a portfolio I have been working on since the age of three. Due to my life experiences and after studying at a local college, I found that school could not teach what can be learned by living life. From being an art instructor for adults and children; to volunteering instruction cooking classes for adults and teenagers; to volunteering for Dream of Detroit, a local nonprofit as a community organizer; to developing my ArtPariah fashion line and business, I pursue all of these endeavors I am passionate about because they are me and what I enjoy doing. Even with all these avenues to share my passions, I remind myself that ultimate happiness, fulfillment, and security lies in my relationship with God and all of my works are geared towards seeking His pleasure alone.
