Q: What is Painting with a Twist?
A: Painting with a Twist is fun art, not fine art. It's a party! It's about creating memories! Bring your friends and loved ones for a live BYOB painting event taught by our enthusiastic artists. You'll receive step-by-step instructions for creating a painting that's all your own. Along the way, you'll laugh, sip your favorite beverage, and unwind with your best peeps by your side. And you don't need any painting experience — just a passion for fun!
Q: How does Painting with a Twist work?
A: Start with our event calendar to select a date, time, and painting you want to create! When you're ready, click on the painting to reserve your seat. You can make a reservation online or call the studio during business hours to reserve by phone. When it's time to create your painting, pack your favorite beverages and snacks, and get the crew together and head to our studio. It's time to raise your glass and your paintbrush!
Q: Can I stop by at any time and paint?
A: Our instructor-led classes are held at specific times. To join a class, please view our events calendar, select the painting(s) you like and register online. Pre-registration is recommended for all classes.
For those looking for a self-guided experience, we offer designated pop-in hours during which you may choose a painting from our collection and create your own artwork by following our detailed instructions. Please note that the pop-in DIY experience does not include step-by-step instruction from an instructor.
Q: Can I walk in before an instructor-led class?
A: Walk-ins are always welcome, although we cannot guarantee a spot without a reservation.
Q: Do you tip at Painting with a Twist?
A: Tips are appreciated but never expected. If you had a great experience with your instructor, let them know!
Q: Are we allowed to bring in beverages and food?
A: Yes! Our studio is all BYO - we only serve paint water! Feel free to bring in your favorite beverage and some light snacks to enjoy during class! Remember you are painting most of the time so finger foods such as pizza, cheese, crackers, chips and dips, cookies, veggie trays, etc. are best! Please note that you must be 21+ to consume alcohol at our studio.
Q: Does Painting with a Twist provide cups and ice?
A: Yes, we provide plastic cups and ice.
Q: Does Painting with a Twist provide wine glasses?
A: We do not provide wine glasses; however, we do provide wine openers and plastic cups.
Q: How long is a Painting with a Twist class?
A: It depends on the class! Our Family Friendly Kids classes tend to last about an hour and a half. We also offer two and three-hour classes for adults.
Q: Is Painting with a Twist hard?
A: Is Jello hard? Is having fun with your besties hard? Painting with a Twist is all about enjoyment without any pressure. The atmosphere is lively, creative, and playful! You're always on track here. No need for painting experience—our instructor-led classes guide you step by step, making it easy to create your own artwork.
Q: Do you offer Painting with a Twist gift cards?
A: Yes! We make it easy to give fun painting experiences to friends and loved ones. Purchase a gift card online today. Gift cards can be redeemed towards painting events online with a click of a button, or at any studio locations around the country. Painting with a Twist gift cards do not have expiration dates!

Q: At what time should I arrive for class?
A: Please arrive 15 to 20 minutes prior to class so that you have time to unwind, visit with friends, and breathe before we get started.
Q: Can I bring my children to paint?
A: We have specific classes on our calendar for young artists! Please check the calendar for kids classes and family friendly events. These classes are generally intended for ages 6 and up.
Children ages 13 and up are also welcome during weekday evenings (Monday through Thursday). Friday and Saturday nights are reserved for guests 18 and over; no exceptions will be made. Guests must be 21 or older with valid ID to consume alcoholic beverages. We reserve the right to request identification.
Please note that infants and toddlers are not permitted in any session.
Q: Will my painting be dry by the end of the night?
A: Yes. If there are a few damp places, there are blow dryers to dry them quickly.
Q: What should I wear to Painting with a Twist?
A: Wear whatever is comfortable. Aprons are provided to protect your clothes; however, it's best to choose clothes that you won't mind if a little paint gets on them, just in case.
Q: Can my friends hang out and NOT paint?
A: All attendees painting or not must purchase a seat in advance. We recommend that EVERYONE paints! Who wants to watch paint dry anyway?! :) If space allows, we can accommodate a limited number of non-painting guests for Private Parties.
Q: What if me and my friend are the only ones who sign up?
A: Our minimum class size is 2. The class may be canceled if less than 2 guests register, and you’ll receive either a refund or store credit. Registrants will be notified at least 24 hours prior to class time.
Painting with a Twist reserves the right to cancel classes for unforeseen circumstances.
Q: Do I need to bring anything with me to paint?
A: The reservation fee covers everything you'll need for your painting experience! Upon arrival, you'll receive an apron, canvas, brushes, paints, and guided step-by-step instruction from our instructor. When the class ends, your masterpiece will be ready to hang. You might also want to bring your own refreshments.
Q: What happens if I have to cancel my reservation?
A: Refer to our cancellation policy below. If you have to cancel, please call or email us as soon as possible.
No refunds or store credits will be issued for no-shows or cancellations after the class has started.
Cancellation Policy
Please note our cancellation policy applies to individuals in all public and private events.
- More than 48 hours notice to cancel attendance in class: Full Refund or Complimentary Credit valid for three months from the issue date.
- 48 hours to 4 hours notice to cancel attendance in class: NO REFUND - A Complimentary Credit will be issued valid 3 months from the issue date.
- Less than 4 hours notice to cancel attendance in class: NO REFUND/NO CREDIT.
- Private Event Hosts follow the cancellation policy terms outlined in the Private Event Agreement signed by host.
- Bad Weather: Class will cancel if a weather emergency is declared or we determine the roads to be too unsafe to travel on, otherwise our cancellation policy is as stated above. In the rare case of a class cancelling due to poor weather conditions, studio credit will be issued to all registered guests. Please see our website for updates in case of questionable weather.
- Late Arrivals: If you arrive more than 15 minutes after the scheduled class start time, you may not be allowed to paint and lose the registration fee. Please arrive no later than 10 minutes before the scheduled class time and we will have a blast!
