Hey there! I'm Kat and I was born and raised in Gainesville. In 2010 I moved to Savannah, Georgia to pursue my passion for the arts. I received my Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Illustration and a minor in Photography from SCAD in 2015. I’ve been working as a professional artist ever since. My inspiration is Vincent Van Gogh and my favorite medium to work with is acrylic. I currently have my own Pet Portrait business, and when I’m not at the studio or an art market, I'm working on a commission! Thanks for joining us and let’s start painting! :)
Hey everyone! My name is Reed Mann and I am a freelance Artist and Graphic Designer studying Studio Art at the University of Florida. I’ve been making art throughout my life with about every medium I could think of- oil and acrylic painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, digital art and collage. My favorite thing about painting specifically is getting into a flow state and being really focused on how the shapes of a composition are coming together. Along with making art, I love seeing live local music, shopping for vintage home decor, skating, and playing the drums. Come paint with me soon!!
Hi there! My name is Tanya! I’m from Sarasota Florida and just moved to Gainesville. Love the community and excited to flourish at PWAT and help everyone create beautiful pieces of art! I’m a firm believer that everyone’s an artist! I’m a mixed media artist who specializes in watercolor but has a love for everything. I’ve taken up many crafts over the years so if you have any fiber art questions let me know!
Hello everyone! My name’s Suelen (like Sue-Ellen), but feel free to call me Sue. I'm a Brazilian born&raised and moved to the US back in 2015. In 2018 I moved to Gainesville and fell in love with it, such a special place with such a strong sense of community, inclusion and lots of art flowing everywhere. Being here gave me the opportunity to pursue my creative career and I couldn’t be more thankful for it. In 2021 I started vending at art markets around town and from there I was sure I loved creating and sharing it with people, having their feedback and love towards my art - having people feeling connected to my art gave me a sense of purpose. I’m a self-taught visual artist and I love trying new mediums, but I always come back to acrylics; watercolors and gouache - they’re my babies. My art comes from a very visceral and raw place, each painting feels almost like sculpting, chipping away and adding layers to build a piece. I can’t wait to spend some time painting with you guys here at PWAT ? And remember: the important thing is having fun in the process!
Hello everyone, my name is Maren! I recently graduated from UF with my MPH (Master of Public Health) and have been in Gainesville for 6 years. I’ve loved art since I was a kid, and really began exploring my creative side in middle school. Since then, I’ve worked with acrylic paint, ceramics, watercolor, and more. Practicing these mediums has taught me that anyone can be an artist, and I hope to encourage our students’ artistic side here at PWAT!
