Katie (Operations Director)

Katie (Operations Director)

Hi! My name is Katie and I am the Operations Director of the Gainesville studio as well as a local artist. I was raised in Maine and moved to Florida when I was 12. I love painting and drawing, but painting is definitely my favorite! I paint portraits of people and pets - there's always so much personality to each portrait. Fun Fact: I have four parakeets and I am a volunteer with Florida Parrot Rescue! Let's get Twisted :-)

Emily

Emily

Hi! My name is Emily and I am currently studying architecture at University of Florida! I have been doing art basically my entire life. I love painting, drawing, and making models of buildings. I also enjoy spending time with my dog Cooper and volunteering at local animal organizations.

I am thrilled to be able to share the joys of art with everyone who walks through the door! I have been an artist forever, in one form or another. I started with dance and then theater, the visual art was only for myself as a therapy and to give me something to do with all this energy. It wasn't until later in life that I started to pursue it more seriously. Since then, I have done lots of disc golf designs for tournaments and businesses, some of which had a world stage. I have also sold quite a few paintings. I am grateful for all the opportunities that have come my way and am excited for more. Hope to paint with you soon!

My calling as an artist has always strived from an enthusiasm for creation. Since my youngest years my passion for art has flourished and become central to how I define myself as a person. As a multi media artist I use many different forgotton, unused materials such as recycled fabrics and dried plants to create interesting unique surfaces. In 2014 I graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and a minor in art history. I am currently living in Gainesville, FL working as a full time artist while teaching part time.

I’m a self taught, illustrator and portrait artist based out of Williston fl. My passion for art has followed me all the way up though my childhood and still continues to bring me joy and confidence. I hope to pass one that same enthusiasm with everyone I come in contact with. Can’t wait to paint with you!!

Hi! My name is Kaylee, I moved to Gainesville from Miami in 2016 and have fallen in love with the city ever since! I graduated with my Associates in Fine Art from Santa Fe College in 2018. Ever si nce I could hold a pen I remember drawing anything that interested me. Currently, my favorite subject is animals. In addition to working here at PWAT I do pet portraits which perfectly appeals to my love for animals and art! I am so grateful to have this artistic talent that I can share with others in hopes of bringing joy to their life. Come paint with me at PWAT, so I can put a smile on your face!

Kylie

Kylie

Hi! My name is Kylie and I'm originally from Punta Gorda, FL. I graduated from UF (Go Gators!) with my degree in Ceramics, but I love all kinds of art! I was lucky enough to study abroad in Europe for an art appreciation course, which was one of the best experiences of my life! Aside from my lovely teaching job at PWAT, I also do pet drawing/painting portraits as a hobby and I love meeting my subjects! I really enjoy meeting new people and watching them get excited about art, so naturally I love teaching at PWAT!

I am a local Gainesville artist that specializes in commissioned pet portraits and animal artwork! I enjoy painting with acrylics and mixed media, and love to paint on repurposed materials. My background is in animal science and I have had various jobs working with animals before becoming a full time artist. I am very passionate about helping animals, and volunteer my time helping local shelters and rescues, along with creating fundraising opportunities that help animal organizations in our community!
