Madison was born and raised in Memphis,TN. When she isn't teaching classes she can be found at home with her husband Thomas, 4 cats, and her dog Indigo! Madison loves people, decorating houses, and animals. She has worked at Painting with a Twist for 11 years.
Beth's love for art began at a young age, and her favorite hobby still is creating mixed media pieces. Her academic pursuits were supported by art scholarships, leading to degrees in graphic design and business. Over the course of her 25-year corporate career, she has effectively leveraged her creative skills alongside her business and leadership skills. Beth enjoys teaching art and has been an instructor with PWAT since 2021. Additionally, she volunteers with nonprofits utilizing the Arts for education, coping and healing.
Brooklyn is a mom of two little ones, a self-proclaimed craft junkie, and someone who firmly believes there is always room for one more creative project. She has been making things for as long as she can remember and is completely self-taught. From embroidery and painting to drawing and whatever new craft has caught her attention that week, creating is where she feels most at home. When she is not working or chasing after her kids, Brooklyn is probably dreaming about her next adventure. She loves the beach and can happily spend hours searching for shells and shark teeth, getting lost in a good book, or watching anything crime related. She was born in Nashville but has proudly called Memphis home since high school. Brooklyn is a people person through and through. She has a knack for making friends wherever she goes and genuinely loves taking care of people, making them feel comfortable, and seeing them smile. She is curious, creative, a little bit of a perfectionist, and always up for trying something new. If there is an adventure to be had, a craft to be made, or a stranger who might become a friend, Brooklyn is probably going to be there.
--I am a contemporary acrylic painter, who also loves fitness, sewing, and crafting. I'm from Birmingham, Alabama, but I have lived and worked in Memphis, Tennessee for the last 4 years, drawing much inspiration from this eclectic, artistic city. I've been drawing and sewing since childhood, and painting the last 20 years. I'm essentially self-taught, drawing inspiration from Bob Ross, classical artists, and many local artists. Nature and folk art have been my primary focus, but I love trying out new subjects and styles. My many years of fitness instruction, gave me a love for helping people, sharing my knowledge, and building relationships. God gave me this wonderful gift, and I've always felt he purposed me to share it with the world, to illustrate his creation and perfect love. I pray my art blesses you.--
Cody is a Texan living in Memphis, but loves it here! He has a BFA from Texas State University and loves art in all forms! His favorite thing in the world is when people discover they are able to do things they didn't know they were capable of. You'll find him most days jammin' to a good record or reading a book. His art influences are Bill Waterson (Calvin & Hobbes), JMW Turner, Anslem Kiefer, Piet Mondrian, Jim Davis (Garfield), and Mark Kistler (look him up!).
Khushi was born in Michigan, raised in Memphis and has always had a love for creativity and painting. She first began working with Painting With A Twist while still in high school, where she discovered how much she enjoyed sharing her artistic side with others. Now in college, Khushi is pursuing a degree in Chemistry on the pre-med track with plans to go to medical school. For her, teaching art classes is the perfect balance - an opportunity to relax, have fun, and inspire others to enjoy the creative process. Outside of the studio and school, Khushi enjoys spending time with her friends, going shopping and playing pickleball.
Paula is originally from Chile and has called Memphis, TN her home for the past 10 years. She is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering on a pre-med track with plans to apply to medical school once school is over. In her free time, which is not much, she enjoys baking, hanging out with friends, and caring for her many plants (her room is literally a jungle). Teaching at Painting with a Twist gives Paula the perfect break from her studies, allowing her to relax, get creative, and share a fun experience with others!
