Hello!! Thank you for visiting this bio page and Painting with a Twist! I am a Lancaster native and been an artist my entire life. What a great opportunity it is to share its creative rewards with you!
My formal art education is from York Academy of Arts. I graduated from their Fine Arts program as a painter and haven’t stopped since. You can find my work online at http://behance.net/melissacarroll or http://facebook.com/MelissaCarrollArtDesign. Please look me up when visiting local outdoor art shows and watch for gallery shows locally too.
Whether you’re new to painting or not, my goal is the same – to make an enjoyable, memorable evening or afternoon for you. My classes are lots of fun with a relaxed atmosphere. You’ll want to visit us over and over again. I stake my reputation on it!
Lisa defines herself as a full-time student of the creative arts. She attended York Academy of Arts as a Fine Arts Major, and received her Associates Degree in Mass Media from Central Penn Business School. She soon found work as an illustrator for a printing company. Her career in the printing industry spans twenty five years and in those years she spent much of her time in the Preliminary Pre-Press field. She spent several years as a Desktop Operator which exposed her to Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe PageMaker as well as numerous other desktop applications. She frequently returns to college classes to complete her ever elusive BA. In her spare time she paints in both acrylic and watercolor. You might also find her exploring new classes; she still wants to try glassblowing, blacksmithing and woodworking. She recently completed an eight week course in throwing pottery at the wheel. She has a beautiful daughter Morgan and a Yorkie named Jax!
Noel Fry was Born and raised in Lancaster County, growing up in Strasburg. She has been actively painting, learning and loving art since she was in elementary school. Noel graduated high school with numerous Scholastic gold metals in painting and went on to to Paint at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art in Philadelphia, before deciding to come back to Lancaster and continue her education at PCAD. She began working at our Studio in August of 2016. She enjoys having fun with others and Making art an approachable, relaxing experience, instead of a daunting one.
Noel Married her high school sweetheart at the Lancaster Museum of Art, and has a little girl, Dakota; and a dog, Cricket. In her free time she enjoys painting, crafting, gardening (especially vegetables, herbs and wildflowers), as well as hiking and listening to music, especially classic rock (Bruuuuuuuuce!) She has a small stand selling her handmade pieces as well as vintage odd and ends at Building Character, which can be found under the name Egnerama on Facebook and Instagram.
I enjoy all things creative and crafty, including painting. I love making jewelry using various methods and materials including metal/wire, bead work and weaving. In my free time I enjoy quilting, embroidery, crochet and knitting. I am a wife, mother of 2 boys and also work as a Paraprofessional in a kindergarten class and have over 14 years experience in childcare.
Hi, I’m Abby! I was born and raised in York, PA and then ventured out to Philadelphia for college. I have a degree in Advertising from Temple University but ended up working in campus recreation for 2.5 years post-graduation after discovering my passion for health and fitness. While always having a interest in art and creativity, I discovered the beauty of hand lettering, often known as modern calligraphy, in 2014. My business, Hart & Soul Design started soon thereafter, and in 2017 I was inspired to pursue the growth of my little biz, so I moved back to York. You can find Hart & Soul Design online https://hartnsouldesign.com and at different craft shows in South Central Pennsylvania. I met my now-fiancée within weeks of moving back, and we are two peas in a pod! I teach fitness classes around York, and I love trying new restaurants and anything outdoorsy. I am so excited to join the amazing Painting with a Twist team and share my love for art and more importantly, FUN, with you! Come join us if you want to laugh and unleash the creative beast inside you!
Hi my name is Courtney and I am a part of the amazing team of artists at Painting wth a Twist Lancaster! I spent the last 2 years teaching at the Royersford studio and cannot wait to twist with you in Lancaster!
I have a degree in education and am a former Pre-K teacher. I love kids and enjoy teaching kids parties! I have four beautiful, crazy kids at home and love every minute of their chaos. Many twisters tell me that I am very patient because of it!
I have been creating my whole life but painting is my favourite medium. My personal artwork usually has a warm, spiritual, or floral theme but I am always learning and growing as an artist.
My goal for your experience painting with us at PWAT Lancaster is to show you that you can do more than draw a stick figure (most claim they can't even do that!), and that it is fun and freeing to create. I want you to feel confident in my ability to help you create something awesome! Lastly, I want you to walk out of our studio feeling good about your experience, your painting and yourself!
Hi There! My name is Simone and I’m incredibly excited to be working at Painting with a Twist. I’ve been making art all my life and I love being creative in just about everything that I do. I have a degree in Art Education which I received from Millersville University, so I have a small background in just about every art medium there is. My favorites include painting and textile arts. I currently work as a preschool teacher by day and I absolutely love it. I've been working with kids of all ages since 2007 and I attribute my energy to them.
I grew up in the Lancaster area, but spent several years living on a military base in New Mexico when I married my husband. We both really enjoyed experiencing the different culture, scenery and art that the southwest has to offer; however our hearts definitely lie with PA and we are ecstatic to be back home.
I can’t wait to meet you, help you have fun, and discover your inner artist!!
