Our Pittsburgh, PA - West Painting with a Twist Artists
Amber is a creative, fun and talented artist with her own funky style! Her classes enjoy her great teaching skills and sassy humor. She always has a positive attitude and a quick and witty comeback. Amber is someone you can count on who steps up when she is needed and has gone above and beyond many times for her fellow PWAT Team! She also is always up for any creative projects like painting fun aprons and cut outs for the studio, creating new paintings to offer our customers, and she also has designed and demonstrated artwork for numerous public PWAT events.
Dave is a fan of short walks on the beach (have you tried walking on sand?!), Taco Tuesday, and bad puns. As studio manager he's also a fan of people having fun while at Painting With A Twist! So give him a call in the afternoon to book your party or make a reservation...but remember he has a strict no broccoli policy.
I moved to Pittsburgh in 1998 from Altoona, PA to attend the Art Institute and graduated with a degree in graphic design and absolutely fell in love with the city. I have experimented with many forms of art and had my work displayed in multiple galleries in Pittsburgh and across PA. I'm available for and have painted hundreds of pet portraits by commission for customers as far away as Australia and even had some of them published in various art reference books. Some of my favorite things include hanging out with my daughter and wife, Steelers football, playing along with Jeopardy (badly), making puns (also badly), and playing Scrabble (really well). I love painting and believe teaching others how to express themselves through painting helps me to be a better artist. I look forward to meeting you in class, telling bad dad jokes, and having fun with you guys on your night out making art. Check out my work on my website at JoeLarsonArtandStuff.com
Hello! I was born and raised here in Pittsburgh, I started drawing the second I was able to grip a marker (much to the stress of my mother, for her the worlds “permanent marker” are more like a challenge than a statement). I earned my bachelor’s in Studio Art from Mercyhurst University up in Erie PA. I have taught at Pittsburgh Center for the Arts in Shady Side, and am working toward an art education degree through Cal U. When I’m not busy with school or painting anything I can get my hands on, I am a field hockey coach and day dreamer. I have always loved the process of art making and want to share that with anyone who wants to learn. Cheers!
