Connie’s love for art began as a small child, and it continued to grow into her passion. Born and raised in Iowa and Connie relocated to Minneapolis, MN in 1987 where she pursued her art degree.
Connie enjoys working in many mediums such as acrylic, oil, watercolor, pastel, pencil and ink. She had done murals for schools and businesses in Iowa, Minnesota and Florida. Locally her murals can be seen at Sarasota Jungle Gardens, Muse Galleria, SPARCC, and various residential homes. Her work has also been published in P.C. Magazine.
Connie is having the time of her life at Painting with a Twist and she wants all of you to know that it is not how well you paint, it’s how well you feel when you paint!

Hello, my name is Cheri. I've recently moved to beautiful Bradenton/Sarasota with my husband
leaving beautiful Traverse City, Michigan to gain more sunny weather and play. I'm a natural
born artist and have been painting my entire life. I'm a retired Nail technician of 28 years, well
known as, "Cheri the Nail Fairy". I chaired the summer art workshops for Traverse City Art
Center for 5 years, exhibited my own art throughout Michigan, have been published and started
teaching at Painting With A Twist in Traverse City. I'm thrilled to continue sharing my passion of
painting and teaching you how to unleash your own creativity.
Can I get a "Whoop Whoop" for Chris Lasiewicki (think of glass of whiskey without the G)? Chris always loves creating art. Even to this day you can catch her coloring or doodling. She graduated with a Visual Communication degree in Michigan, and has worked over 15 years as a production artist - creating all types of artwork at a quick turnaround rate. In 2016, she moved to sunny Florida to start a new chapter in her life. Now, she wears many hats - freelancing, volunteering, teaching fitness classes, and her most favorite of all...working with PWAT.
