Painting with a Twist is a fun, instructor-led paint and sip studio in Springfield where guests create their own artwork in a relaxed, social atmosphere. No experience is needed—that's the whole point! Our talented instructors guide you step by step from the first brushstroke to the final details, making it easy for anyone to create a painting they'll be proud of. We offer canvas painting, wood projects, porch leaners, shiplap, watercolor workshops, resin art, candle making, chunky knit blankets, and more. Whether you're planning a date night, girls' night out, birthday party, team-building event, or simply looking for a fun thing to do in Springfield, Painting with a Twist makes creativity easy and enjoyable.

Can I stop in anytime and paint, or do I need a reservation?

It depends on the experience you're looking for!

Our instructor-led paint and sip classes require advance registration because each class features a specific painting or DIY project, and we prepare supplies and seating based on the number of guests. Simply browse our calendar, choose your favorite event, and reserve your seat online.

If you're looking for more flexibility, visit us during Pop-In & DIY hours, available seven days a week from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. No reservation is required for most projects—just stop in, choose from a variety of self-guided creative experiences, and create at your own pace. Options may include canvas painting, wood projects, candle making, resin art, seasonal crafts, and more. Our staff is always nearby if you have questions or need a little guidance.

Can't make it to the studio? We also offer Take-Home DIY Art Kits so you can enjoy the Painting with a Twist experience wherever you are.

Whether you're planning ahead for a date night, girls' night out, birthday celebration, or simply looking for a fun walk-in activity in Springfield, we have a creative option for you.

Can I bring food and drinks to Painting with a Twist Springfield?

Yes! Painting with a Twist Springfield is a BYOB studio, so you're welcome to bring your favorite wine, beer, cocktails, mocktails or non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy during your visit. Feel free to bring light snacks or finger foods, too—they're perfect for enjoying while you paint.

We also have bottled water, sparkling water, soda, and a selection of snacks available for purchase at the studio.

Not a drinker? No problem! While many guests enjoy a glass of wine or a favorite beverage, plenty come for the creative experience and stick with water, soda, coffee, or tea. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, enjoying a date night, planning a girls' night out, pregnant, the designated driver, or simply don't drink, you'll fit right in. The focus is on having fun, getting creative, and making memories together.

We simply ask that all guests drink responsibly and follow Missouri laws regarding alcohol consumption.

What should I bring to Painting with a Twist Springfield?

Almost nothing—we provide just about everything! Your reservation includes all the art supplies you'll need, including your canvas or project, paints, brushes, apron, and step-by-step instruction from one of our talented artists. When class is over, you'll leave with a finished creation that's ready to display or give as a gift.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little paint on. While we provide aprons, acrylic paint can occasionally find its way onto clothing.

You're also welcome to bring your favorite beverages and light snacks to enjoy during class, since Painting with a Twist Springfield is a BYOB studio. (We also offer bottled water, sparkling water, soda, and snacks for purchase.)

For the best experience, plan to arrive about 15 minutes before class begins. This gives you time to check in, pour a drink, find your seat, and get settled before the painting starts.

That's it! We take care of the setup, supplies, and cleanup—you just bring your creativity and get ready to have fun.

Can I come by myself?

Absolutely! Many of our guests attend solo, and they almost always leave having met new people and enjoyed a relaxing, creative evening. Whether you're looking for a little "me time," celebrating something special, or simply trying something new, you'll feel right at home.

Our instructors create a fun, welcoming atmosphere where everyone can relax and enjoy the experience—whether you arrive with a group or on your own.

Can I take my painting home the same day?

Yes! Your artwork will usually be dry enough to carefully take home at the end of class. We'll help you transport it safely so you can display it proudly or give it as a gift.

What is Pop-In & DIY?

Pop-In & DIY is our open studio time. It's a flexible, self-guided creative experience available seven days a week from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Instead of following a scheduled class, you'll choose your own project and complete it at your own pace. It's perfect if you're looking for a spontaneous creative outing, a rainy-day activity, or something fun to do between appointments.

No reservation is required for most Pop-In projects, although larger groups are encouraged to call ahead.

Do you offer themed and seasonal events?

Yes! Throughout the year we host a variety of themed events featuring seasonal artwork, holiday celebrations, fan-favorite themes, specialty workshops, and unique creative experiences you won't find in our regular classes.

Reservations & Policies

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans change! If you need to cancel or reschedule your reservation, here's how it works:

• More than 24 hours before your event: You'll receive a full refund to your original payment method.
• 4 to 24 hours before your event: We'll issue a studio credit that can be used toward any future class or creative experience.
• Less than 4 hours before your event or no-shows: Because we prepare supplies and reserve your seat specifically for you, refunds and studio credits are not available.

If you need to make a change, please contact the studio as soon as possible. We'll always do our best to help within our policy.

If we ever need to cancel a class due to severe weather, instructor illness, or other unforeseen circumstances, you'll have the option to receive a full refund, studio credit, or transfer your reservation to another event.

What happens if I arrive late?

We recommend arriving 15 minutes before class begins so you have time to check in, find your seat, pour a drink, and get settled before the fun starts.

If you arrive within 15 minutes after the scheduled start time, our instructors will do their best to help you catch up. After that, it becomes difficult to rejoin the class without disrupting the experience for other guests. For that reason, guests arriving more than 15 minutes late may not be able to participate, and refunds or studio credit may not be available.

If you think you're running late, please give us a call. We'll let you know the best course of action based on where the class is in the painting process.

What happens if the studio cancels a class?

Occasionally, a class may need to be canceled due to severe weather, instructor illness, or other unforeseen circumstances. If that happens, we'll contact registered guests as soon as possible and provide options for rescheduling, studio credit, or a refund, depending on the situation.
