Painting with a Twist FAQ
Q: What are the prices for a class?
A: Two hour classes are offered for $39 and three hour classes starting at $45. Select a Family & Kid Friendly Paint pARTies offered for $32. We also have customer events , like “Paint Your Pet”, or custom art for $55 and up.
Q: When do you post a new monthly schedule?
A: The calendar is posted no later than the 15th of the month prior.
Q: Will my painting be dry by the end of the night?
A: Yes, if there are a few damp places we will have hair dryers which will dry them quickly.
Q: At what time should I arrive for class?
A: Ten to fifteen minutes would be plenty of lead time.
Q: Do you do reserved seating?
A: Yes. We ask that you reserve online through our website. If you would like to be seated with another guest there will be an option to include that individual's name.
Q: Can you BYOB?
A: Our studio is fully BYOB you can bring wine, beer, champagne or alchohol.
Q: Will you have wine openers and cups?
A: Yes, we supply wine openers, cups, ice buckets and wine chillers.
Q: Since it is around dinner, can we bring food?
A: Yes, feel free to bring in food, snacks, or a small cooler for your convenience etc....
Q: What do I wear?
A: Whatever is comfortable, but as long as you don't mind if a little paint gets on it. We will provide you with an apron.
Q: Do I need a reservation?
A: You should make a reservation to ensure you have a seat and payment is required at the time of reservation. Walk-In's are hard to accommodate as there is no guarantee there will be a pre-sketched canvas ready or if seats are available.
Q: Can someone attend who does not want to paint?
A: All attendees must have a paid seat, we do not allow bystanders or observers to join a class who do not have a paid seat unless you are hosting a private pARTy. The only exception to this is our “family fun” classes, where kids paint and a parent may join them to help, without a paid seat or a private pARTy.
Q: Do you do private parties?
A: Yes, we do offer private events either in studio, offsite-(at your location) as well as virtual parties.
Q: What size is the canvas?
A: Our standard canvas size is 16 x 20 inch, for the majority of our paintings. We offer a variety of other size canvases as well as wood pallets, screens, glassware and candles. The canvas size and subject will be described in the event details of the reservation, if other than the normal 16 x 20 inch canvas.
Q: Is there an age limit?
A: Yes, depending on the class. In most of the event descriptions, we indicate the minimum age requirement for that class. Our Family Fun classes are geared for kids ages 7+. Other daytime classes we recommend ages 10+ unless otherwise noted. For late Friday and Saturday night classes, we require attendees to be at least 14+ years of age, due to the higher volume of adult beverage consumption. Please note that it is the law that you have to be 21 years old to consume alcoholic beverages and ID’s are required to purchase or BYOB alcoholic beverages. Infants are not permitted in any of our classes, but we look forward to them painting when they reach the age minimum.
Q: What is your refund/cancellation policy?
A: We do not offer refunds, but are happy to offer a store credit for individuals canceling with at least 48 hours’ notice. "No shows" will NOT be issued a store credit NO EXCEPTIONS! Store credits are only good for our Tampa-West location and expire within 6 months of issue, unless otherwise noted on the certificate. If you are late to the class by 20+ minutes, you may not be allowed to paint and your payment will be forfeited.
Q: What are your COVID precautions?
A: Guest are welcome to wear a mask if they are more comfortable however, mask are not required.
Painting with a Twist reserves the right to cancel classes for unforeseen circumstances. Registrants will be notified at least 4 hours prior to class time and refunds or store credits will be processed.
