(Not so) Short Introductory Bio:
Hi, I’m Diego. I’m a professional Painter and Instructor with over 27 years of experience, but there’s one thing I’ve always believed about painting: it should be FUN!
My love for painting grew deeper after my adventures in South America, where I was surrounded by beautiful landscapes, awesome colors, and unforgettable experiences.
I started wanting to echo all that somehow… and painting was it.
At first, I sucked and it frustrated the hell out of me. But I really wanted to do it. So I kept at it.
Next thing I knew, I found myself sitting on the beach, actually replicating the sunsets and the beaches and the landscapes that I was seeing.
Art gave me a way to preserve those memories and turn them into something I could hold onto.
So over the years, it just became a thing for me.
Today, I get to share that passion with other people as a teacher. I never thought that would happen, but it’s cool.
Sometimes stuff just develops in life and you just kind of just go with it. I’m definitely glad I went with this…
One of my favorite things is watching someone who has never painted before, pick up a brush, follow along, and suddenly be like, “Oh I just made that!”.
It’s joyful to me to be able to attempt to share that experience with anyone who wants to paint while I am instructing.
