Emmalee

Emmalee

Emmalee has recently moved to the desert from the Colorado Mountains. She enjoys painting, drawing, and sketching in her free time and most importantly loves to snuggle her dog Honey. Emmalee has done art her entire life, and is completely self taught! Most Importantly Emmalee loves to have fun with everyone she teaches, and hopes you'll visit her soon!

Julia E

Julia E

Julia is the studio manager at Pwat and brings with her eight years of teaching experience in the arts! She has her BFA in Communications Design, a small chihuahua, and a love for skating. She enjoys working with illustrative mediums like acrylic, watercolor, colored pencils, and pen & ink. One of her favorite painters is the American watercolor artist Charles Burchfield. Julia is passionate about bringing accessible art to the community and believes that, similar to cooking in “Ratatouille,” anyone can make art.

Wonder

Wonder

A Pacific Northwest Native who transplanted to Arizona in 2019, Wonder loves any kind of art she can get her fingerprints on. Drawing, watercolors, markers, acrylics, performing and producing music, and writing songs & prose are among her greatest passions. Wonder loves working with kids and parties just as much as she loves one on one connection. You can find Wonder in the Painting With A Twist art studio painting colorful brushstrokes and cracking bad jokes.

Eryn

Eryn

Hi! I’m Eryn, one of the instructors here at Painting with a Twist in Gilbert. I believe art should be fun, approachable, and maybe even a little messy — for me, it’s not about being “perfect,” but feeling free and enjoying the process along the way. My favorite style to paint is abstract —I love how it lets you explore color, emotion and movement without rules. Speaking of color, purple is my go-to, and you’ll almost always catch me with a matcha latte in hand, listening to a moody-instrumental playlist in the background. Whether you’re here for your first class or your fiftieth, I’m here to keep it light, help you loosen up, and make sure you leave feeling proud of what you created. Can’t wait to paint with you!

JC

JC

JC has been managing to stay (mostly) hydrated in Arizona for over 15 years. They have spent the last 4 years teaching elementary art and theatre, but have decided to take a break from the school system grind to finish their last year of art school. Whether it's acrylics, watercolors, or digital media, they like to find a way to over-complicate things in the name of experimentation. When not teaching or doing copious amounts of homework, JC enjoys spending time with their partner and three cats, knitting, and grumbling about the youth these days like a wizened old crone.
