Hi Sunshine! Kristy is from Lisbon, Ohio and moved to the area to begin her journey to a Masters Degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Seton Hill University. She has a passion for helping others and a career that she loves. In 2008 she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art from Hiram College.
She’s a firm believer in art being accessible to everyone, that is why she is so excited and honored to be one of our Artist. Kristy loves the idea of everyone being an artist and having the opportunity to create something beautiful. People second guess their artistic ability and she believes we are all creative and wants to encourage that. She believes there is no better way to create then with a glass of wine, and a beautiful image, all while sharing laughs and having fun with friends, family, or complete strangers. Art should be fun, relaxing, and everyone should be encouraged to create.

Growing up in Pittsburgh, Judy was always looking for things to create and paint. Discovering so many different crafts and artwork, she decided she wanted to be an artist. But, as a single Mom she spent 30 years working in the insurance industry as a Corporate Insurance Broker helping growing businesses protect their most valuable assets.
During that time, she remained involved with art, as a teacher of stained glass and folk art painting. When her Daughter introduced her to Painting With A Twist, she realized that the concept of bringing Family and Friends together through the tool of painting was something she was determined to bring to her community as a gathering place for people of all ages to paint, drink wine, relax, and just have fun.
That is how Painting With A Twist of Greensburg was born.

Sara Thomas is a Greensburg raised artist, that will be graduating with a degree in Art Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in the Spring of 2020. Her love for art has always been strong, but her compassion for people and their stories is what drove her to Art Education. The act of creating is powerful to her. She believes that the act of making art can empower any one wherever they are at in their life. Anyone is capable of creating beautiful art at their own level. Her preparation as an Art Educator has been focused in training for teaching in urban settings and high risk environments. Sara sees the power of a strong Art Education as an essential component to supporting those who need to feel autonomous and empowered. In her own time, she often explores her own artmaking with watercolor media or is goofing around with friends and family.
