I have been interested in art for as long as I can remember. I started drawing and painting at a very young age. Art has been a huge influence in my life. During middle school, I began taking art classes at a local community center after school and this experience inspired me to become an art teacher. I am a graduate of Purdue University in Art Education. I have been an art teacher for 5 years now! I have taught all ages of students beginning in Indianapolis, then the Logansport area, and now I am happily back home in Lafayette.
Kara Hampton has lived in Indiana all her life and has been perusing a path in art for as long as she can remember. "Connecting with people, being social, and entertaining are three things I have always done. I come from a large family and growing up we would blast music, sing, and dance constantly. I love to entertain through my dancing and singing, regardless if its good or bad and if someone is smiling then I am smiling. I’m from Chicago, IL originally. Then, I moved to South Bend, IN for high school, and next to Lafayette, IN for college to pursue a degree in Communication. Currently, I am taking time off school to explore, whether it be the world or myself. I want to make connections with people so that I can challenge myself to grow every day. In addition, I love to play with my dog Millie, binge watch dance videos on YouTube, hike, and spend time with the people I love."
