Deanna is an east coast native about to graduate University of Delaware with a BFA in Fine Arts- wish her luck! She is an artist and performer through and through, splitting her time between professional stage acting and traditional visual arts. Deanna’s philosophy is embracing your own weirdness and learning to dress and express yourself in whatever way makes your bizarre little heart happy. She can’t wait to paint and laugh with you!
Erin studied at the University of Pittsburgh and got her B.A. in Africana Studies and Studio Arts. She was a painting instructor in Buffalo prior to moving to Delaware. Erin loves illustration and does a lot of freelance work, from album covers to character design.
Fun fact: Erin is a trained barista and loves making latte art!
To Erin, being a PWAT Artist means artful fun and hospitality, to both teach and learn. She loves hosting paint parties because she gets to share her passion for art with others, whether they are beginners or highly skilled artists. Erin believes it is all in the name of a fun, memorable experience for all of us! She hopes to bring a relaxed environment and a willingness to explore new techniques that or Twisters can take home with them & try on their own!
Jenn was born in Pennsylvania, but has lived in Middletown most of her life, so she considers herself a local. Arts and crafts have always been part of her life. She is a UD alum with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts and has participated in three shows. Jenn considers herself a history buff and draws her inspiration from her favorite artists, Edward Hopper and Claude Monet. Along with painting, she also favors photography and sewing/needlecraft.
A fun fact, Jenn's favorite things to draw are chickens, ever since her family got them as pets.
She is excited to be part of the PWAT Team, to be able extend the artist' experience to everyone who wants to get in touch with their creative side.
Two great forces come together in Linda, Science and Art. As a trained conservation biologist and descendant of award-winning decoy artists, Linda grew up surrounded by talent and creativity. Like many artists from the Delaware Valley, Linda draws inspiration from the natural world (specially birds). She was born in Forked River, New Jersey and moved to Delaware at the age of 21. For Linda, science and art do not have to be mutually exclusive. In fact, being an artist at Painting with a Twist is her way of sharing with people how science and art are interconnected.
Initially, some of us feel nervous to try something new. The courage and dedication devoted to mastering our talents is certainly a huge part of Sarah's art. This self-taught artist comes to us from Rising Sun, Maryland. Her love for fantasy art has led her to paint in large scales, often depicting dragons in scenic environments. For Sarah, the Painting with a Twist experience is an escape in which people find it easy to have fun and connect with each other.
Sarah is a Delawarean who attended St. Marks High School and the University of Delaware. She earned a BFA in painting and then pursed a degree in elementary education. During the day, she’s a middle school math teacher proving that artists can be good at math too! To Sarah, being part of the initial team to open Painting with A Twist Newark mean a lot. Her fun and charismatic personality often result on Twisters coming back for another painting. Since PWAT Newark opened in 2014, Sarah has welcomed baby Gabby & Dean into the world but still loves to spend time with our Twisters.
Stephanie is from originally from Williamstown, NJ. She has been a portrait painter for the past 5-years and is currently studying Art as a minor at the University of Delaware. To her, being a PWAT Artist means bringing people happiness and a sense of achievement when they finish something they never thought they could do on their own! She hopes to share her positive energy with guests and bring some smiles to our Twisters faces.
Steph is a Delaware transplant, originally from Rochester, NY and a previously self-proclaimed non-artist. After a 25 year career in Corporate America, she is now a co-owner, with husband Bill, and a firm believer that anyone can find their inner artist, all it takes is great instructor and stress-free, fun environment! When not in the studio, she loves spending time with family, including son Jake, and friends & the beach is her happy place! Steph loves getting to know our Twisters and bringing PWAT art to the community! There is nothing better than the smiles at the end of a class, when our guests leave with a masterpiece they love!
