Painting with a Twist FAQ
COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What are the prices for a class?
A: Prices range from $25 to to $60 depending on the length and type of class and surface that you paint on. Just click on the painting you like best and you will see the price for the class.
Q: I saw a class on the calendar that is no longer there. Why did it change?
A: Our calendar is fluid and sometimes changes based on requests, but generally you'll find most of the selections for the month posted by the 15th of the month before. If you want to paint one that has changed, you can always paint it during one of our Open Studio sessions.
Q: Will my painting be dry by the end of the night?
A: Yes, your painting will be dry. If there are a few damp places we will have hair dryers which will dry them quickly. The only exception is with our Paint Pours. They generally take 48 hours to dry. You will need to make plans to pick them up at a later date.
Q: At what time should I arrive for class?
A: You can arrive up to 30 minutes prior to your class time, but we recommend 15 to 20 minutes prior to your paint time.
Q: Do you do reserved seating?
A: Yes - we take reservations online or over the phone. Payments are accepted at the time that you make your reservations. Seats are not held without payment. Reservations are not required for Pop-In sessions.
Q: Will you have wine openers and cups?
A: Yes, we supply wine openers and cups along with cocktail napkins, cocktail size plates, and a bucket of ice for chilling your beverages.
Q: Can we bring food?
A: Yes, you are welcome to bring any type of food or beverage.
Q: What do I wear?
A: Whatever is comfortable and you don't mind if a little paint gets on it. We will have aprons for you if you need them.
Q: Do I need a reservation?
A: We do require reservations with payment to secure seats and we require 48 hour cancellation notice for refunds and 24 hours cancellation notice for Store Credit. All refunds are subject to a 10% cancellation processing fee. No calls/no shows will not be issued store credit or refunds. Please note, if you are booking less that 24 hours from the event, you are past the refund time frame and the reservation is not eligible for cancellation.
Q: Do you do private parties?
A: Yes, we can accommodate up to 60 people in main studio and 35 in our smaller party room. Please see Party Info for more details.
Q: What size is the canvas?
A: Our most popular size is our 16 x 20 inch canvas, but we offer several sizes along with various surfaces like wood planks, wood boards, cut out shapes and even wine glasses.
Q: Is there an age limit?
A: Sunday thru Thursday evening classes starting from 6:00 p.m. are open to ages 15 and up. Minors should be accompanied by an adult. On Friday and Saturday night after 6:00 PM you must be at least 18 years of age. Ages 16 and 17 minors area allowed with a paid/painting adult. All in attendance must be paid participants. We recommend ages 5 and older for Family Day or afternoon classes. Unless otherwise designated, most of our kids classes are suited for ages 5+. Please note that it is the law that you have to be 21 years old to consume alcoholic beverages.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: With at least 48 hours notice, you will be given the option of a STORE CREDIT for 100% of the cost of the class (valid at the Richardson and Mansfield locations only) or a refund less a 10% processing/cancelation fee.
