Hey hey, Ambre here! I'm looking forward to sharing my passion of painting with you. I have always been involved and highly interested in art and I have done paintings, murals, and have even contributed my skills to many local businesses. I am excited that Painting With A Twist is now presenting an opportunity for me, alongside many wonderful artists, to share some things I've learned over the years, with those who find it too hard or who may be too afraid to try. There's nothing to worry about, just hang on for a great ride towards the destination of a wonderful painting created by you and an enjoyable and memorable time! Interesting fact: Though art was my first passion, I have a degree in communications and music!

Take a deep breath; you have made it to exactly where you should be, at exactly the right time! I believe that painting is a powerful tool used to relax the mind, body, and spirit. At least, that’s why I’ve been painting ever since I was 11 years old. Art has given me the ability to expand the limits of my mindset while releasing worry, fear, doubt, and tensions of my everyday life. Art has also given me the opportunity to tap into my unique abstract and creative potential (that I never thought I had) and gain an overall sense of self-satisfaction and purpose. The moment when you finally complete a piece of artwork after countless hours of hard work is such an amazing and gratifying reward! I currently spend my time empowering children as a sixth grade teacher and I feel very blessed to be among the many talented artists here at PWAT. Other interests of mine include using oil-pastel mediums, designing hat apparel, writing poetry, and studying ancient wisdom. I am also a Reiki master and have been practicing Reiki for about 3 years. People are my passion! Whatever you think you can’t do, believe me, you can do it!

I was born in Orlando, Florida in 1987. Art was an interest to me early on. An elementary school teacher sparked my passion for art when she taught the class how to draw a bowl of fruit. It amazed me to see the oranges become three dimensional, and to create imaginary places. I work in a variety of media, but prefer to create large scale paintings in acrylic. I received my BFA with honors in 2010, concentrating in painting and drawing from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. After graduating, I moved back home to Brevard, where I have taught summer art classes at the Brevard Art Museum. I am currently working on a large scale body of work, and developing my technical ability. Interesting Fact: I have a black belt in Shorinji-Ryu Karate.

I'm Joelle, a writer and artist studying at UCF. As a teenager, I was lucky to have a local artist take me under her wing and teach me how to paint using late 19th century/early 20th century techniques. My love of art eventually transferred towards the written word, but I have been working on re-immersing myself into the beautiful and often complex world of art. My most recent challenge has been to create spontaneously and outside of my usual style; branching out from still portraits to colorful studies and street scenes. I still spend most of my free time painting with words rather than colors, but I love the way Painting With a Twist allows me to be a child again; creating with my hands and now teaching others to do the same.

I was born in New York, but after graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Illustration, I got a job painting prototype GI Joe's at Hasbro Inc. After several years working there, I moved to California to pursue work as an artist. I've always loved animation and landed a job as, the first ever credited, graphic artist on Season 4 of the television show Robot Chicken. I also received a Prime Time Emmy award for working on the show. After the season ended the show took a year and a half hiatus, in the meantime I started a full time job at Trader Joe's as a sign artist. During my time at Trader Joe's I learned so much about creating signs, I started branching out to local restaurants and shops creating colorful and fun chalk art all over town. I was also fortunate to work on over a dozen TV commercials and even became a caricature artist at Disneyland for a while. After 8 years in California, I decided to relocate to Florida. Currently my favorite type of work I'm doing is making custom nesting dolls and chalk signs. You'll probably find me during Friday Fest in booth surrounded by tons of my colorful artwork. I'm so thrilled about becoming part of this amazing team at Painting With a Twist and I can't wait to paint with you! If you'd like to see some of my current artwork you can head to:

I became interested in art at a very early age. Sculpting, drawing and painting... just being creative came very naturally to me. When I realized what I wanted to do with my life/gift everything began to fall right into place. I am flipping out with excitement to be a part of a team of artists who feel the same way I do about their gifts! Painting with a Twist has given me the opportunity I've been searching for since I moved back to Florida three years ago from Gatlinburg, TN. to reach out and grab my dreams. I am proud to be a part of PWAT and an amazing group of artists that feel the same passionate way I do about art. Hold on to your butts, this is gonna be great!! Interesting Fact: I can karaoke the dickens out of Lionel Richie's song "Three Times a Lady"!
