I was born in Orlando, Florida in 1987. Art was an interest to me early on. An elementary school teacher sparked my passion for art when she taught the class how to draw a bowl of fruit. It amazed me to see the oranges become three dimensional, and to create imaginary places. I work in a variety of media, but prefer to create large scale paintings in acrylic. I received my BFA with honors in 2010, concentrating in painting and drawing from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. After graduating, I moved back home to Brevard, where I have taught summer art classes at the Brevard Art Museum. I am currently working on a large scale body of work, and developing my technical ability. Interesting Fact: I have a black belt in Shorinji-Ryu Karate.

I was born in New York, but after graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Illustration, I got a job painting prototype GI Joe's at Hasbro Inc. After several years working there, I moved to California to pursue work as an artist. I've always loved animation and landed a job as, the first ever credited, graphic artist on Season 4 of the television show Robot Chicken. I also received a Prime Time Emmy award for working on the show. After the season ended the show took a year and a half hiatus, in the meantime I started a full time job at Trader Joe's as a sign artist. During my time at Trader Joe's I learned so much about creating signs, I started branching out to local restaurants and shops creating colorful and fun chalk art all over town. I was also fortunate to work on over a dozen TV commercials and even became a caricature artist at Disneyland for a while. After 8 years in California, I decided to relocate to Florida. Currently my favorite type of work I'm doing is making custom nesting dolls and chalk signs. You'll probably find me during Friday Fest in booth surrounded by tons of my colorful artwork. I'm so thrilled about becoming part of this amazing team at Painting With a Twist and I can't wait to paint with you! If you'd like to see some of my current artwork you can head to:

Holly

Holly

Hey there! I’m Holly, wife, mother of 3 crazy boys, artist, crafter, photographer, amateur carpenter, recycler, traveler, and forever an Army brat. I recently moved to Melbourne from Chico, Ca. Yes, Cali is beautiful but Florida is my home and where family is. I attended Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA and received my BA in studio Art in 08’. However, not until recently did I started using my artistic skills to earn a living. I started out exploring my artistic abilities shortly after having my 3rd son, and needed to make some money! Ha. So I began creating and painting signs from old wooden fences I found along the side of the road. Then sold the signs to local shops around town and I’ve been doing it ever since. I continue to recycle wood and basically anything into something new, useful, and beautiful. I have had many “career” jobs but teaching and painting with others is by far the funnest and most fulfilling. I’m lucky to have a great support at home and with the Painting With A Twist team. I hope to see you in class letting your creative vibes flow.
