Why book a Painting Party?

Due to COVID-19 our offerings and requirements are subject to change. Please see our calendar for updated public class and kit information, or contact the studio directly at or  505.TO.PAINT (505.867.2468). Due to current restrictions, purchasing kits and our LIVE|Virtual Events are a great option for gathering with friends in a safe setting, from the comfort of your home.  We also have kits for Kids and LIVE|Virtual Classes for them as well. 
Private Virtual Parties:
  • We schedule private parties any day or evening. Parties can be scheduled anytime where we can book an artist for your event. These are live step-by-step entertaining events.
  • Virtual Parties require each participant to have a Twist at Home Kit, prior to attending the event. The  pickup and distribution of supplies is coordinated when you book your event.
  • Each guest will need access to a computer, a functioning camera and microphone to communicate with the instructor and guests, and internet.
  • The minimum is 12 people and the maximum can be as many as you want! Virtual is a flexible option if you have a large group.
  • You can choose from our vast library of paintings for your live virtual class.
  • A two-hour painting party is $35+ per person.
  • Guests can have the ability to select different surfaces to paint on, depending on availability (pricing may vary).
  • A non-refundable 3 seat deposit is required after receipt of a signed contract. Your deposit of $113.28 ($105.00 + tax) does count towards your guest minimum.
  • In your kit, you will receive your surface of your choice (selected when registering), plenty of each paint color needed, to create your masterpiece, brand new brushes, disposable apron & water cup, palette plate, napkin, table covering, and the link for your ZOOM meeting (sent via email day of event).
Cancellation Policy Virtual Parties
We require at least 2-weeks (14 days) notice if you should need to cancel.  Once the kits are assembled there will be no store credit given.  We DO NOT offer refunds.  Failure to give at least 2-weeks (14 days) notice of the event cancellation will result in a $150 cancellation fee to the host's credit card.
In Studio Private Parties!
  • We schedule private parties any day, afternoon or evening. Parties can be scheduled anytime between 10am and ending no later than 10pm.
  • We will begin painting at the time scheduled so please have your guests arrive up to 20 minutes before the start time. No set up, no clean up - just show up!
  • The minimum is 12 guests for Weeknights and Weekends.  The minimum is 9 guests for Weekdays.  During the re-opening phases due to the COVID-19 pandemic - the minimums for an in studio private party is 9 for weeknight & weekends and 5 for weekdays.
  • The maximum is 28 in our Van Gogh Party Room and 48 in our Main Studio *IF AVAILABLE*.  Maximums may change during the re-opening phase - we will check with the government guidelines in place on the scheduled date of the party.
  • You get to choose the painting for your party (we have over 16,000 paintings). Once you have signed your private party agreement and paid the deposit, we will send you a link to our library for you to view and choose your painting.
  • The price is the same as a regular class - $35 (+ tax) for 2 hours.  You can upgrade your class to a Specialty class (prices vary) like adding blacklight, Paint Your Pet, etc.  You will need to contact the studio for more information.
  • A non-refundable 3 seat deposit is required. Your deposit of $113.28 ($105.00 + tax) does count towards your guest minimum.
  • We supply the canvas, paint, aprons, brushes and easels.
  • Tables are available for finger food if you choose to bring in snacks or birthday cake. No crockpots or other electrical appliances please.
  • Photos from the party will be posted on Facebook for you to Tag and Brag.

How do I reserve and pay for my party?
You can Book Your Party Here! Or navigate to our Request Party form.  Completely fill out the form and add in any information that you think we will need to help you plan Your Perfect Party!  If you still have questions you can call us at 505.TO.PAINT (505.867.2468) or email your request to us at!
Where are you located?
We are located at 8510 Montgomery Boulevard NE, Suite A5, Albuquerque, NM. We are in the Target parking lot 1 block east of Wyoming.
What about Kid Parties?
We offer a great alternative to the adult parties called Kids & Canvas Party. Again, you will need to Book Your Party Here! by filling out the Request a Party form.  Select “Kids Party” under the Event Type and we will send you the Kids and Canvas Party flier which explains everything.
But I don’t have a big group – Try an OPEN Party (only 5 minimum)!
  • Pick a date on our calendar that does not have an event already on it that you that 4 of your friends want to paint on. 
  • Navigate to the Request Party
  • Completely fill out the form.  *** Put OPEN Party in the Message area.
  • An agreement explaining the OPEN Party requirements – you will be required to digitally sign the agreement.
  • The cost will be $35 ($37.76 with tax) per painter X 5 = ($188.78) and will need to be paid within 48 hours.
  • When payment is received, a link to the library will be sent for you to pick your painting.
  • The event will then be opened to the public.  Your group will get the VIP seating!  This is a fun way to have your party without having a big group.
What is your Cancellation Policy during the COVID-19 Closures and Phased Re-Opening?
CANCELLATIONS POLICY:  To all of our valued guests, your safety and the safety of our staff are our utmost concern. We understand that the current health and safety of the public may require last minute cancellations for in-studio experiences.  Please note, no persons may enter the studio if they feel ill, have a fever, or have been in contact with those known to have COVID-19.  Masks are required to enter the studio.  If you need to cancel your reservation, we ask for as much notice as possible. We will issue STORE CREDIT for any cancellations. The STORE CREDIT will be for the full amount paid for the class. There is NO EXPIRATION DATE for your STORE CREDIT and it can be used at any time. Should it become necessary for us to cancel a class, we will contact you and you will receive a STORE CREDIT for the full amount of your reservation. During this time period, we will not offer refunds. This is an effort to ensure the financial well-being of the company and secure the jobs of our staff. Please note, NO SHOWS without contact will not receive store credit or a refund.
Painting with a Twist reserves the right to change the artist, postpone the class, or cancel a class for unforeseen circumstances.
