Painting with a Twist FAQ

Welcome to the downtown TWIST Experience! 

We're your pARTy headquarters for a fun & creative night out! Date Night, Besties Night, Family classes, Blacklight & Glow parties... we do it all! 

How to Reserve:

Click on the picture you would like to paint on our Calendar and make your reservation online. We do allow walk-in reservations (pay upon arrival) so long as we still have seats available and you arrive 10+ minutes before the start time. Thank you for understanding that we cannot guarantee a seat in class without a reservation. 

Where are you located?

We are located in the heart of beautiful Downtown Colorado Springs on Tejon Street (Between Kiowa & Bijou).


Street Meters are $1.50/hr. Free on Sundays ONLY until 1:pm 

There are 2 Parking Garages close by: 

  • Kiowa & Nevada - closest to us!
  • Cascade & Bijou 


Didn't finish your painting, or simply want to touch it up? Once a month, artists will be available to guide you through the rest of your painting. This event is free, but please make a reservation online so we know you are coming. Please refer to our current calendar for the next S.O.S. date.

Private Parties:

Children and Family Classes:

We allow all ages in most classes unless otherwise notes. Class starting at 8:pm or later are strictly 18+. No exceptions. Throughout the month we offer family-friendly paintings. These classes are recommended for children 5 years of age and older (Though we WILL allow younger so long as the child is able to stay in their seat and does not cause a disturbance to the rest of the class). Children under age 14 must have an adult/ guardian with them in the studio at all times, which means the parent/guardian must also purchase a seat. Sharing a single canvas is not permitted. We do not allow spectating, infants* or toddlers.  ALL patrons in studio must have a reservation. NO EXCEPTIONS.  *Should a guest choose to bring an infant to class regardless of the policy & there is a disturbance, the guest will be asked to leave with no credit/refund given. 

Painting with a Purpose:

In our ongoing commitment to give back to the community, Painting with a Twist proudly sponsors a monthly fundraising class - Painting with a Purpose. 50% of the proceeds from the Painting with a Purpose classes are donated to local non-profit organization. Contact us if you know of an organization that could use a little ‘Pay it Forward’.

Cancellation Policy:

*NO REFUNDS* All sales are final/non-refundable. 

Thank you for understanding that we cannot make an exception to this policy for any reason, including failire to read it. 

Should you need to cancel your reservation, we are happy to offer a take-home paint kit or store credit to use on a future class. Please be sure to notify us of your cancellation more than one hour prior to the class to avoid any fees being deducted. Store credit will expire 1 calendar year from the date of issuance. All cancelation requests must be recieved via email, or by calling the studio. We do not accept text cancelations at this time. 

If you cancel within one hour before the start of class (Three hours for an offsite) you will be issued a store credit less a used supply/overhead fee of $10. 

No call/no shows will not receive a refund or store credit. No exceptions.

A Take home paint kit is the only option for canceled reservations associated with a Painting With A Purpose Fundraiser. 

*A 48hr notice of cancellation must be received for any/all customized classes in order to receive a full credit or class transfer. 

Painting with a Twist reserves the right to change the artist, postpone class, or cancel for unforeseen circumstances. Classes with insufficient enrollment may be cancelled by our office 2hrs prior to the start time. If class cancells, customers will be notified in advance via text and/or email.  Store credit, transferring to a future class or a take-home paint kit will all be options for you. Thank you for understanding that refunds are not an option for any cancelations per policy. If you would like to find out if a class has sufficient reservations prior to booking, you can text us at 719-473-8663. 

If we cancel a class for any reason and none of our alternative options work for you, we can make a one time exception and offer a refund minus the credit-card processing & overhead fees which total 10% of the origional transction.
