Our Longview, TX Painting with a Twist Artists

Micah Ruland

Micah Ruland

Micah (My-kah) was born when she was very young and has not aged a day since. When lucid, her creative mind spills its contents for all to enjoy and ponder. She began her artistic career at the tender age of 5 in ‘94, when she was coerced into silence during church and given a pen with instructions to draw on a bulletin. She of course agreed to those terms with the allowance of a piece of gum. With her current status of art instructor at Painting with a Twist, she is now able to fulfill her lifelong hobby of preforming mind-boggling whispered karaoke songs at the PWAT hootenannies. They have become the stuff of legend. She also paints there! Everything she paints becomes the stuff of legend. She was also featured as Time’s 2006 person of the year. Go ahead. Look it up. Micah enjoys singing “Que Sera, Sera” underwater, a good pun, or even better a bad pun, and adding to her enormous silly-putty collection. Should you be looking for an artist who is selcouth with a hint of wifty, to provide a bonafide erlebnisse that will make you balter to no end, then look no further. Well, maybe grab a dictionary…Micah also has a slight case of logolepsy. Sadly, Micah has lost her favorite glass eye somewhere in the studio. It answers to “Fred”. If anyone should find it, please notify animal control immediately. She hopes to see it and you in the near future!

Alex Lichty

Alex Lichty

Alex Lichty has just recently been proven to exist, blowing the minds of cryptozoologists worldwide. People who have observed him closely report a thick sarcasm and dry wit. He's fostered a strong relationship with his muse, having an obvious love for absurd and abstract ideas as well as the intricate beauty of the natural world. Aside from that, he is a fan of all things spooky and weird. As he states directly, "I just like freaky things and cute animals." Along with that, he has a love for teaching children's classes, hoping to help foster the same love of art and independence that was given to him as a child.

Leti Beau

Leti Beau

Leti Beau is a professional artist based in Longview, Texas. Her time is spent between the PWAT studio acting like Bob Ross and the Gregg County Historical Museum as Membership Coordinator. When at home, they manage several hobbies including socializing for sport, gaming with friends, absorbing internet trends, and being a loving mother to two cats. One of their favorite things about teaching art is encouraging the innate creativity everyone has without sweating the small stuff. For example, whether a painting is “good” or “bad”, it’s still great art if you have a great time creating it! Leti’s “fun fact”- she looks forward to becoming a robot, which seems to be more and more of a reality by each passing year. For commissions and inquiries: letibeau.art@gmail.com

Vivian Groff

Vivian Groff

Vivian is a young artist currently working on her degree in fine arts and instructing classes at PWAT. Here she is able to do exactly what she is passionate about: painting. From the time she could hold a paintbrush she knew she wanted to create something beautiful. Her hobbies include playing guitar, sleeping for extended periods of time, and reading fantasy novels. As a child, her dream was to grow up to be a vampire artist and give french lessons on the side. While Vivian is gothic in style and nature, her paintings are vibrant in color. This nocturnal creature can often be found in a dark lair accompanied by her pet python, Ivy. She has a strong fascination with finding beauty in all organisms of life, even in decay. She hopes to share the beauty of nature and the gift of art with all who desire, and perhaps inspire others to do the same.

Ally

Ally

Ally is an East Texas native who has been creating since she could hold a crayon. To her, art is the only thing that has ever made sense. She knew she wanted a career in art as early as high school, when the doodles became the reason for less than average math grades. As an artist, she has the most experience as a watercolorist, something she has been practicing for nearly a decade. She has only begun her journey with acrylic paint as of May 2022. Ally has the heart of a hippie and the mind of a dreamer. She takes inspiration from vibrant colors, nature, and song lyrics- which would explain the endless supply of Rush song lyrics flowing through her head. In her spare time, Ally models for local photographers, and enjoys staying home for quality time with her two cats.

Kimberly Wells

Kimberly Wells

Howdy y'all! I'm the owner and occasional artist at Twist-Longview, and a mom to two boys! A native East Texan by birth, a natural artist I am not! I graduated from Arp high school, have a Financial Planning degree from Baylor University, and always knew I wanted to open my own business one day. After attending my sister’s bachelorette party at Painting with a Twist in Dallas, I fell in love with the business. After spending my entire budget attending all the Painting with a Twist events I could, I decided to pursue my dream and open a studio with my husband Casey, in East Texas. With a love of crafting projects and a passion for business and management, the Painting with a Twist franchise has been a perfect match. After 9 years of owning this business, I still love my job and getting to know all of our Twisters! Hey, it's not really work if you love what you're doing!
